Fuzzy Partition Models for Fitting a Set of Partitions

Psychometrika, 2001
Methodology is described for fitting a fuzzy consensus partition to a set of partitions of the same set of objects. Three models defining median partitions are described: two of them are obtained from a least-squares fit of a set of membership functions, and the third (proposed by Pittau and Vichi) is acquired from a least-squares fit of a set of joint

Interval-valued fuzzy hypergraph and fuzzy partition

IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, Part B (Cybernetics), 1997
This paper extends the work of H. Lee-Kwang and L.M. Lee (1995) to present the concept of the interval-valued fuzzy hypergraph. In the interval-valued fuzzy hypergraph, the concepts of the dual interval-valued fuzzy hypergraph, the crisp-valued alpha-cut hypergraph, and the interval-valued [alpha(1),alpha(2 )]-cut at beta level hypergraph are developed,

Fuzzy Weighted Support Vector Regression With a Fuzzy Partition

IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, Part B (Cybernetics), 2007
The problem of the traditional support vector regression (SVR) approach, referred to as the global SVR approach, is the incapability of interpreting local behavior of the estimated models. An approach called the local SVR approach was proposed in the literature to cope with this problem.

Fuzzy controller architecture using fuzzy partition membership functions

KES'2000. Fourth International Conference on Knowledge-Based Intelligent Engineering Systems and Allied Technologies. Proceedings (Cat. No.00TH8516), 2002
A novel current-mode CMOS circuit is used to implement fuzzy partition membership functions. The architecture, circuit and cadence spectra simulations are presented.

Improved Wavelet Packet Noise Reduction for Microseismic Data via Fuzzy Partition

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2022
It is crucial to retain as many signal components as possible, while noise is eliminated for wavelet packet noise reduction algorithms. Conventional thresholding functions take coefficients smaller than a given threshold as the noise component and get ...

Stability and Stabilization of T–S Fuzzy Time-Delay System via Relaxed Integral Inequality and Dynamic Delay Partition

IEEE transactions on fuzzy systems, 2021
This article investigates delay-dependent stability analysis and stabilization for continuous Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy systems with a time-varying delay. By employing dynamic delay partition, the delay interval $[0, d(t)]$ is partitioned into some variable ...

Novel Incremental Algorithms for Attribute Reduction From Dynamic Decision Tables Using Hybrid Filter–Wrapper With Fuzzy Partition Distance

IEEE transactions on fuzzy systems, 2020
Attribute reduction from decision tables has been much focused in recent years in which the incremental methods of the tradition rough set and extended models are mostly used for adding, removing, or updating the object or attribute set.

The fuzziness of fuzzy partitions

Pattern Recognition Letters, 1991
Abstract In this work a method to make an easier pattern classification when the use of a classical membership function doesn't give satisfactory results due to the similarity between prototypes, is developed. A new formulation of the membership function itself is proposed for extreme cases of indistinguishability.

Semisupervised Fuzzy Clustering With Partition Information of Subsets

IEEE transactions on fuzzy systems, 2019
Pairwise constraint is a type of side information that is widely considered in existing semisupervised clustering approaches. In this paper, we explore a new form of supervision for clustering.
