Fuzzy PID control of induction generators

IEEE 10th International Conference on Cognitive Informatics and Cognitive Computing (ICCI-CC'11), 2011
Based on wind-turbine character analyzing, maximum wind energy tracking is selected as active power control target. A method of using fuzzy logic principles to deduce optimum turbine speed was proposed, to keep optimum tip speed rate operating without the wind velocity measurement.

Research and application of fuzzy PID controllers

2010 Seventh International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2010
There are Z - N oscillation method and reaction curve and so on in based methods classical approaches. In fuzzy PID auto-tuner conventional gain scheduling involves using extra information from the plant, environment, or user to tune (via “schedules”) the gains of a controller.

A hybrid neuro-fuzzy PID controller

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1998
A hybrid neuro-fuzzy control strategy and its corresponding rule generating approach is proposed. According to this approach, the fuzzy control rules can be generated automatically via fuzzy inputs, and then the appropriate control action can be deduced efficiently by a simplified fuzzy inference engine.

Development and Analysis of a PID Controller and a Fuzzy PID

2019
This document presents the development of a Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) and a Fuzzy-PID, for the control of the level of the MPS PA plant, which is constituted by industrial sensors and actuators. The mathematical model and the parameters of the system were obtained using the software the MATLAB environment using a STM32F4 card.

A Comparison of Fuzzy-PID Controller, Fuzzy Logic Controller and PID Controller of an Autonomous Robot

2021
Recently, autonomous mobile robots have been increasingly developed for many applications related with surveillance, transportation, and inspection. This paper introduces an autonomous robot motion control based on PID, Fuzzy, and Fuzzy-PID controllers. The experiment is implemented on a mobile robot to compare the performances among three controllers.

Fuzzy PID controller structures

CCECE '97. Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering. Engineering Innovation: Voyage of Discovery. Conference Proceedings, 2002
This paper provides a systematic procedure for designing fuzzy PID controllers. The fuzzy nonlinear mapping with respect to error, error change and rate of error change is analyzed to produce different fuzzy PID controller structures. The design procedure is identified as a two-level tuning problem.

Fuzzy precompensation of PID controllers

Proceedings of IEEE International Conference on Control and Applications, 2002
While PID controllers are widely used in industrial applications, they exhibit poor performance when applied to systems containing unknown nonlinearities, such as deadzones, saturation, and hysteresis. In this paper, we propose a fuzzy logic-based precompensation approach for PID controllers. We demonstrate the performance of our scheme via experiments

Genetic multi-stage fuzzy PID controller with a fuzzy switch

2001 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics. e-Systems and e-Man for Cybernetics in Cyberspace (Cat.No.01CH37236), 2002
A genetic algorithm is used to optimize the membership functions and rule bases of a multi-stage fuzzy PID controller with a fuzzy switch. The multistage controller uses the fuzzy switch to blend a proportional-plus-derivative fuzzy logic controller with an integral fuzzy logic input.

Optimization of a Fuzzy PID Controller

2011
There are strong nonlinear characteristics in an active magnetic bearing (AMB) system. For a simple magnetic levitation ball model with one degree of freedom (DOF), there are problems that are difficult to be solved by using linear control methods (such as PID control method).

Fuzzy PID Control of Microgrids

2019
The purpose of this chapter is design and application of intelligent methods based on the fuzzy logic (FL) type PID controller for adaptive controlling of the microgrids. The traditional structure of the power systems is being changed continuously due to environmental limitations and depreciated infrastructures.
