Diverse Pathways and the Role of Timing: Youth Experiences of Leaving Care in China

ABSTRACT In China, young people in state‐funded childcare institutions (Fuliyuan) are required to exit at age 18 unless still in education, compressing the move to adulthood. This study applies a life‐course lens to examine how the timing and sequencing of key life events shape care leavers' trajectories.

The Genetic Landscape of Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia in Greece

Clinical Genetics, EarlyView.
We investigated 112 Greek index‐cases with hereditary spastic paraplegia collected over > 25 years using NGS and MLPA. We identified a causative variant in 68 patients (60.7%), including 7 novel causative variants. This study presents a comprehensive overview of the phenotypic and genotypic spectrum of HSP in the Greek population.

In vivo differentiation of scarring alopecia using line‐field confocal optical coherence tomography: a pilot study

Summary Background and Objectives: Diagnosing cicatricial alopecia is challenging. Even with histology, a definitive diagnosis cannot always be made. Line‐field confocal optical coherence tomography (LC‐OCT), a non‐invasive imaging method with high resolution used in vivo, has proven helpful in diagnosing scarring alopecia.

Streaming potential analysis of hair variation: Ethnicities and environmental exposures

Ethnicity and weathering shape electrokinetic behaviour and particle deposition in hair. ζ‐potential magnitudes ranked Caucasian > Indian > Chinese with no significant root‐tip variations. Deposition patterns generally correlate with ζ‐potential but differ by ethnicity, implicating other factors.
