FUZZY QUEUEING THEORY REVISITED

International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2001
We first survey the basic results in recent paper on fuzzy queueing theory based on possibility theory. Then we apply this to two application problems: (1) machine servicing problem (optimal size of service crews); and (2) then a queueing decision problem where we find the optimal number of servers.

Advances in fuzzy theory

Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, 1999
Recent advances in the foundations of fuzzy theory facilitated by Bart Kosko's discovery of the fuzzy hypercube are of high relevance to artificial intelligence in medicine research. The new concepts of set inclusion, equality, and similarity are therefore reported in this paper.

Fuzzy measurement theory

Measurement, 2008
Abstract Exact measurement is a mapping f0 from the structure of physical objects into the structure of real numbers R representing the results of measurement. In the framework of the fuzzy theory of measurement an inexact measurement is represented by a mapping f from a physical objects into a structure of fuzzy intervals.

Fuzzy Set Theory

2018
This chapter reviews concepts from fuzzy set theory indispensable for the fuzzy extension of th e multi-criteria decision making methods based on pairwise comparison matrices. Trapezoidal and triangular fuzzy numbers and intervals, which are most often used for the fuzzy extension of pairwise comparison methods, are introduced here, and normalization ...
