A comparative analysis between fuzzy topsis and simplified fuzzy topsis

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2017
Fuzzy Multiple Criteria Decision Making plays an important role in solving problems in decision making under fuzzy environment. Among the popular methods used is the fuzzy TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) where the solution is based on the shortest distance from its positive ideal solution and the farthest ...

Corporate sustainability assessment through fuzzy TOPSIS

Proceedings of the 6th International Workshop on Simulation for Energy, Sustainable Development & Environment (SESDE 2018), 2018
"The aim of this paper is to propose a decisionmaking methodology that enables the analysis and evaluation of sustainability at the corporate level. The proposed methodology grounds on two tools, namely the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) approach and fuzzy logic.

Service Selection Based on Fuzzy TOPSIS Method

2010 IEEE 24th International Conference on Advanced Information Networking and Applications Workshops, 2010
With rapid development of service-oriented architecture and cloud computing, web services have been widely adopted for developing various kinds of applications. A set of non-functional requirements such as QoS has become important criteria for service selection.

Preference-Oriented Fuzzy TOPSIS Method

2020
This paper proposes an approach to multi-criteria decision-making which is based on a modified fuzzy TOPSIS method. We assume that the process of determining the ranking of alternatives should depend on subjective preferences for the linguistic values of fuzzy criteria.

One modification of fuzzy TOPSIS method

Journal of Modelling in Management, 2013
PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to present one modification of the fuzzy TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) and to develop a corresponding computer program which could be used for the multicriteria decision making for problems in practice.Design/methodology/approachThis method is based on the uncertainties and ...

Multi-distance and Fuzzy Similarity Based Fuzzy TOPSIS

2015
This article introduces a new extension to fuzzy TOPSIS. In the extension we have used as a basis a fuzzy similarity based fuzzy TOPSIS that uses an additional component of multi-distance in forming a closeness coefficient. Ordered weighted averaging is also used in the aggregation process over fuzzy similarity values.

Fuzzy hierarchical TOPSIS for supplier selection

Applied Soft Computing, 2009
This study simplifies the complicated metric distance method [L.S. Chen, C.H. Cheng, Selecting IS personnel using ranking fuzzy number by metric distance method, Eur. J. Operational Res. 160 (3) 2005 803-820], and proposes an algorithm to modify Chen's Fuzzy TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) [C.T.

A fuzzy TOPSIS based approach for e-sourcing

Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, 2011
This study presents a methodology for solving the sealed bid, multi-attribute reverse auction problem of e-sourcing in which the sales item is defined by several attributes, the buyer is auctioneer, and the suppliers are the bidders. There is only one buyer and a number of suppliers.
