Fuzzy transformation and its applications

Proceedings 2003 International Conference on Image Processing (Cat. No.03CH37429), 2004
In this paper, we introduce the basic concepts of the fuzzy transformation (FZT) theory and their applications in image denoising. FZT is a data-adaptive nonlinear transformation, where the transformation matrix is a dynamic real-valued spatial-rank (SR) matrix (i.e., fuzzy SR matrix) generated by using an order invariant membership function.

On the approximation properties of fuzzy transform

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2017
In this paper, we continue a study of approximation properties of the fuzzy transform (F-transform) with the partition generated by the Shepard kernel. We make the error estimate in terms of a modulus of continuity which has a higher order than the previously known. Also, we obtain the error estimate of the iterative F-transform-based method for linear

Approximation properties of fuzzy transforms

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 2011
The goal of the paper is to enlarge the class of fuzzy transforms (F-transforms) by considering different types of fuzzy partitions. \ New types of F-transforms are constructed based on B-splines, Shepard kernels, Bernstein basis polynomials and Favard-Szaz-Mirakjan type operators. The approximation properties of these F-transforms are studied. A fuzzy

Approximation of Fuzzy Functions by Extended Fuzzy Transforms

2006
A fuzzy approximation method called fuzzy transforms for approximation of continuous function is presented in this paper. It is shown how can be fuzzy transforms naturally generalized for functions with more variables. A fuzzy function as an approximated mapping is considered. This leads to an extension of fuzzy transforms for fuzzy function as well as

Fuzzy Transforms in Removing Noise

2006
The technique of fuzzy transform (F-transform for short) has been introduced in [6, 5]. It consists of two phases: direct and inverse. We have proved that the inverse F-transform has good approximation properties and is very simple to use.

A fuzzy medial axis transformation based on fuzzy disks

Pattern Recognition Letters, 1991
Abstract A fuzzy disk with center P is a fuzzy set in which membership depends only on distance from P. For any fuzzy set ƒ , there is a maximal fuzzy disk gpƒ ⩽ ƒ centered at every point P, and ƒ is the sup of the gpƒ's. (Moreover, if ƒ is fuzzy convex, so is every gpƒ, but not conversely.) We call a set S ƒ of points ...

Fuzzy partitions and transformations

Proceedings of 1994 IEEE 3rd International Fuzzy Systems Conference, 1994
This paper is devoted to an interpretation of fuzzy sets on the basis of indistinguishability. Here we restrict to indistinguishability induced by tolerance bounds /spl epsiv/ that lead to identifying numbers whose difference is less than /spl epsiv/. We admit the modification of the ordinary distance by scaling functions.

Solving Fuzzy Heat Equation by Fuzzy Laplace Transforms

2010
In this paper, we solve the fuzzy heat equations under strongly generalized H-differentiability by fuzzy Laplace transforms. To this end, the original fuzzy heat equation is converted to the corresponding fuzzy two point boundary value problem (FBVP) based on the fuzzy Laplace transform.
