We report the impact of nonlocal response in metallic nanostructures on four-wave mixing (FWM) process in nonlinear plasmonic metasurfaces which consist of Au nanostrips coupled with Au film spaced by an ultrathin dielectric film.

Integrated microrings for on-chip filtering and efficient FWM generation [PDF]
A silicon micro-ring device with tunable four-wave mixing efficiency is presented. The micro-ring is monolithically integrated with a dual polarisation filter based on a cascaded three ring resonator geometry. Four-wave mixing is demonstrated with signal and idler transmitted through the filter with only 1.8 dB of insertion loss.

The theory of FWM transmission amplification of ordinary wave mixing in magnetized plasma is investigated. The exact solutions are derived for the degenerate and nondegenerate cases and are adapted for EM wave mixing in unmagnetized plasma.
