LURP1, a SARD1‐regulated protein, coordinates with the helper NLR ADR1 to promote plant immunity
The working model of LURP1 function in plant immunity. Upon pathogen infection, SARD1/CBP60g promotes the transcription of LURP1 directly. LURP1 likely functions as an adaptor protein that associates with the PRRs–BAK1 complexes at the plasma membrane (PM) while also interacts with the ADR1 family helper NLRs.

Summary The Arctic is experiencing some of the world's most rapid changes in climate. Arctic plant flowering time responses to climate change are understudied. Globally, conflicting evidence exists on whether flowering time responses to temperature are evolutionarily conserved.

Using herbarium collections to study genetic responses to global change
Summary Earth's c. 406 million herbarium specimens represent a largely untapped resource of genetic data that could transform our understanding of global plant populations. Advances in DNA sequencing have made the extraction of genetic data from these preserved specimens increasingly feasible, enabling new insights into plant biodiversity and ...

Relative detectability of Canadian plant species at risk in field surveys
Accurate detection is essential for estimating plant populations and ranges, yet many at‐risk plant species in Canada remain under‐studied in this regard. To address this, we ranked 199 at‐risk vascular plants by relative detectability based on traits like life cycle, habitat, and flower color, finding that perennial species, those with conspicuous ...

Abstract To expose the pollution of marshes and swamps, whether by hydrocarbons or other contaminants, the French or Francophone author of the twentieth century must first confront a literary tradition that equates stagnant water with a volatile poison and, more broadly, wetlands with toxic environments. In his article “Wetland Gloom and Wetland Glory,”

We used automated activity monitors to examine how light‐emitting diode illumination affects the daily locomotor activity of the parasitoid biocontrol agent Aphidius matricariae. We compared 4‐ to 20 h broad‐spectrum white (BSW) photoperiods, and 12 h BSW photoperiods extended with an additional 6 h of red‐blue, red‐green‐blue, or BSW light, or no ...
