Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Electrothermo Convection in a Porous Medium Saturated by Nanofluid

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2016
Thermal instability in a horizontal layer of nanofluid with vertical AC electric field in a porous medium is investigated. The flux of volume fraction of nanoparticles is taken to be zero on the isothermal boundaries and the eigenvalue problem is solved ...

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

A Note on the Total Detection Numbers of Cycles

open access: yesDiscussiones Mathematicae Graph Theory, 2015
Let G be a connected graph of size at least 2 and c :E(G)→{0, 1, . . . , k− 1} an edge coloring (or labeling) of G using k labels, where adjacent edges may be assigned the same label. For each vertex v of G, the color code of v with respect to c is the k-

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Hyperplane Neural Codes and the Polar Complex

open access: yes, 2019
Hyperplane codes are a class of convex codes that arise as the output of a one layer feed-forward neural network. Here we establish several natural properties of stable hyperplane codes in terms of the {\it polar complex} of the code, a simplicial ...

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

Zero-error communication over adder MAC

open access: yes, 2018
Adder MAC is a simple noiseless multiple-access channel (MAC), where if users send messages $X_1,\ldots,X_h\in \{0,1\}^n$, then the receiver receives $Y = X_1+\cdots+X_h$ with addition over $\mathbb{Z}$.

Molecular genetic markers and rubber breeding in Thailand : 2 - Field stndy of the family RRIM600 x PB217 for QTL identification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
For developing QTL detection based on the genetic linkage map of the cross RRIM600 x PB217, a clonal field trial was set in Thailand in June 2002. It will be studied until 2010 and targeted to the genetic analysis of the physiological parameters of the ...
