The mean free path of protons and neutrons in isospin-asymmetric nuclear matter

open access: yes, 2008
We calculate the mean free path of protons and neutrons in symmetric and asymmetric nuclear matter, based on microscopic in-medium nucleon-nucleon cross sections. Those are obtained from calculations of the G-matrix including relativistic "Dirac" effects.

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

Antikaon production in A+A collisions at SIS energies within an off-shell G-matrix approach

open access: yes, 2003
The production and propagation of antikaons -- described by dynamical spectral functions $A_h(X,\vec{P},M^2)$ as evaluated from a coupled channel $G$-matrix approach -- is studied for nucleus-nucleus collisions at SIS energies in comparison to the ...

Suppression of core polarization in halo nuclei [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We present a microscopic study of halo nuclei, starting from the Paris and Bonn potentials and employing a two-frequency shell model approach. It is found that the core-polarization effect is dramatically suppressed in such nuclei.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Modified Sombor Spectral Radii and Modified Sombor Energies of Splitting and Shadow Graphs

open access: yesScientific Annals of Computer Science
Gutman et al. introduced Sombor and Modified Somber index because of the rapidly growing applications in chemistry and network analysis. Graph energy ε(G) and the spectral radius ℘(G) of graph G are essential components that are associated with the ...

On the Dirac Structure of the Nucleon Selfenergy in Nuclear Matter

open access: yes, 1997
The relativistic structure of the self-energy of a nucleon in nuclear matter is investigated including the imaginary and real components which arise from the terms of first and second order in the NN interaction.

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Monophonic Distance Laplacian Energy of Transformation Graphs Sn^++-,Sn^{+-+},Sn^{+++}

open access: yesRatio Mathematica, 2023
Let $G$ be a simple connected graph of order $n$, $v_{i}$ its vertex. Let $\delta^{L}_{1}, \delta^{L}_{2}, \ldots, \delta^{L}_{n}$ be the eigenvalues of the distance Laplacian matrix $D^{L}$ of $G$. The distance Laplacian energy is denoted by $LE_{D}(G)$.

Deformation effect on total reaction cross sections for neutron-rich Ne-isotopes

open access: yes, 2011
Isotope-dependence of measured reaction cross sections in scattering of $^{28-32}$Ne isotopes from $^{12}$C target at 240 MeV/nucleon is analyzed by the double-folding model with the Melbourne $g$-matrix.
