How Leibnizian Were the “Leibnizians” Ch. Wolff and A. G. Baumgarten? Reflections on the Theory of Preestablished Harmony

open access: yesIdeas y Valores, 2014
The philosophies of Wolff and Baumgarten have been traditionally evaluated as mere systematizations of the doctrines of Leibniz, and, therefore, as lacking all originality.

Philosophical Mining or Theoria cum praxi

open access: yesTeorie vědy
This paper examines the natural philosophy of the German philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz with regard to his ability to apply theoretical reflections in the contemporary (technological) practice and develop a consistent natural-philosophical system.

Toward Material‐Specific Peptides From in Silico Guided Peptide Engineering to Target PET in the Presence of PS

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a computational–experimental strategy to engineer material‐binding peptides toward polymer specificity. Molecular dynamics simulations identified residues driving polystyrene binding, enabling targeted substitutions that greatly reduced polystyrene affinity while preserving PET binding.

Lineare o non lineare? Osservazioni sullo sviluppo dei concetti di "sostanza vivente" e di "organismo" in Leibniz [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The doctrine of natural machines, of organisms, of composite substances, assumes a marked consistency in Leibniz starting from his mature years (let us say, from the publishing of New System in 1965 onwards). There is no doubt, therefore, that for a full

Thermodynamics and Kinetics in Host Design for Dendrite‐Free Zinc Metal Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review comprehensively summarizes recent advances in host design strategies for high‐performance zinc metal anodes, and deeply elucidates their thermodynamic and kinetic design principles from the perspective of surface modification, interface engineering, and spatial confinement.

Achtzehnter Band: Januar – August 1700

open access: yes, 2005

Elastomeric Core‐Conductive Shell Slurry Additive Stabilizes High‐Voltage NCM811 Cathodes via Mechanical‐Electrical Dual Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A core‐shell ASA slurry additive constructs a mosaic‐like interface on high‐voltage NCM811 cathodes. This architecture decouples interfacial functions: the elastomeric core buffers mechanical stress to prevent microcracking, while the conductive shell facilitates rapid ion/electron transport, enabling mechanical‐electrical dual regulation and enhanced ...

G. W. Leibniz sobre a irracionalidade da existência do espaço homogêneo na correspondência com Samuel Clarke

open access: yesFilosofia Unisinos

A New Ordered Transformation‐Induced Plasticity Enables Exceptional Strength and Ductility in a B2 Medium‐Entropy Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel B2‐ordered Ti‐Zr‐V‐Al medium‐entropy intermetallic is developed through controlled metastability engineering, which activates an ordered TRIP effect via a new B2→D019‐α2 transformation with a distinctive {0001}α2//{110}B2, <11‐20>α2//<100>B2 orientation relationship. This alloy achieves an elongation of ∼7%, a strength of ∼1.1 GPa, and superior

Proton‐Switching Regulates Interfacial Iodine Chemistry for Long‐Life Zinc–Iodine Batteries

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A proton‐switchable imine‐linked framework is developed to dynamically regulate interfacial iodine chemistry in aqueous Zn–I2 batteries, where reversible protonation/deprotonation switches the host affinity between iodide and polyiodide species. This state‐dependent regulation suppresses shuttle‐induced side reactions while preserving fast iodine redox
