Outbreak associated with Rotavirus G11,P[25] in Korea in 2018 [PDF]

open access: yesInfection & Chemotherapy, 2020
We here report the first outbreak caused by rotavirus G11,P[25] in Korea in 2018, representing a case of re-assortment with pig-derived rotavirus. The genotype constellation was identical to the virus identified in Korea in 2012 as G11-P[25]-I12-R1-C1-M1-

Characterization of a Novel P[25],G11 Human Group A Rotavirus [PDF]

open access: greenJournal of Clinical Microbiology, 2005
ABSTRACT A novel rotavirus strain (Dhaka6) isolated from a 21-year-old Bangladeshi male patient was characterized by sequence analysis of its VP7 and VP4 gene segments. Phylogenetic analysis of the VP7 gene of the Dhaka6 strain revealed a common evolutionary lineage with porcine G11 rotavirus strains.

DOES THE OOSTERHOFF DICHOTOMY EXIST IN THE ANDROMEDA GALAXY? I. THE CASE OF G11 [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2013
We present the first evidence that Oosterhoff type II globular clusters exist in the Andromeda galaxy (M31). On the basis of time-series photometry of the moderately metal-poor ([Fe/H] ∼−1.6 dex) M31 globular cluster G11, obtained with the Wide Field ...

Thyrocyte-specific Gq/G11 deficiency impairs thyroid function and prevents goiter development [PDF]

open access: bronzeJournal of Clinical Investigation, 2007
The function of the adult thyroid is regulated by thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), which acts through a G protein-coupled receptor. Overactivation of the TSH receptor results in hyperthyroidism and goiter. The Gs-mediated stimulation of adenylyl cyclase-dependent cAMP formation has been regarded as the principal intracellular signaling mechanism ...

Anaphylactic shock depends on endothelial Gq/G11 [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Medicine, 2009
Anaphylactic shock is a severe allergic reaction involving multiple organs including the bronchial and cardiovascular system. Most anaphylactic mediators, like platelet-activating factor (PAF), histamine, and others, act through G protein–coupled ...

Accurate and Rapid Measurement of Glycated Hemoglobin Using HLC-723 G11 Variant Mode

open access: yesAnnals of Laboratory Medicine, 2019
Background Type II diabetes mellitus causes many complications, and its prevalence continues to increase in Korea. Accurate measurement of glycated Hb (HbA1c) is important because of its usefulness in diagnosis, follow-up, and prediction of prognosis. We

Antagonistic Regulation of Neurite Morphology through Gq/G11 and G12/G13* [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 2008
The induction of neurite retraction and growth cone collapse via G-protein-coupled receptors is involved in developmental as well as regenerative processes.

Pentaquark at JLab: the g11 experiment in CLAS [PDF]

open access: greenAIP Conference Proceedings, 2005
After the claiming of the possible discovery of a pentaquark state, many experiments reported positive and negative results opening a discussion about the pentaquark existence. New experiments with high resolution and high statistics are needed to solve the controversy.

Explosiveness in G11 currencies

open access: yesEconomic Modelling, 2018
Abstract This paper tests for explosiveness in G11 currencies in daily data using a methodology that accounts for the possibility of non-stationary volatility. The results suggest that bouts of explosiveness in exchange rates are uncommon at a daily frequency. However, periods of explosiveness tend to last for several days. Such episodes only involve

Hemoglobin San Diego (β109 (G11) Val→Met) CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF THE DEOXY FORM [PDF]

open access: bronzeJournal of Clinical Investigation, 1974
The three-dimensional structure of deoxyhemoglobin San Diego has been solved to 3.5 A resolution using mixed crystals of the variant hemoglobin and hemoglobin A. The site of the amino acid replacement can be clearly located in the difference electron density map and is consistent with the chemical result (beta109 Val-->Met) discussed in the preceding ...
