Temperature-dependent tensile and shear response of graphite/aluminum [PDF]
The thermo-mechanical response of unidirectional P100 graphite fiber/6061 aluminum matrix composites was investigated at four temperatures:-150, +75, +250, and +500 F.

GRKs and arrestins: Nomenclature and functions in GPCR‐dependent and ‐independent signalling
G protein‐coupled receptor (GPCR) kinases (GRKs) and arrestins play a critical role in the regulation of GPCR signalling. Historic names of mammalian GRKs were replaced by systematic ones in the 1990s; however, both kinds of names are currently in use for mammalian arrestins.

Urinary EVs provide highly pure vesicles with superior DNA quality, making them a robust and completely non‐invasive source for molecular profiling. Urinary EV‐DNA–based MRD assessment shows significant prognostic value and may serve as a practical tool for postoperative monitoring and risk stratification in colorectal cancer.

The functional form of yield curves [PDF]
Yield curves built from liquid instruments tend to exhibit specific features, both in term of smoothness and in term of patterns. The paper presents empirical evidence that those liquid yiled curves frequently conform to a specific functional form.

Health Care System Efficiency Analysis Of G12 Countries
Data Envelopment analysis of the health care delivery system of G12 nations is presented here. Japan and Spain scored the highest and the US, the lowest level of relative efficiencies. Health care outputs are life expectancy and infant mortality. Inputs are per capita health care expenditure; population adjusted physicians, hospital beds, and MRI; and ...

Active employees in the future workplace: From job crafting to selfergetic job crafting
Abstract The job crafting theory implies, but does not explicitly present the relationship between the self and the job. To fill the gap, we theorize upon the holistic view of the self, and selfergy, a new concept reflecting the unique manner by which employees craft their jobs. Based on the principles of the self‐determination theory, we have advanced

Shortening of airway smooth muscle and bronchoconstriction are pathognomonic for asthma. Airway shortening occurs through calcium-dependent activation of myosin light chain kinase, and RhoA-dependent calcium sensitization, which inhibits myosin light chain phosphatase.

CO2‐sensitive K+ channel traffic affects stomata and whole‐plant water use
CO2‐responsive regulation of membrane trafficking influences the density of the potassium ion (K+) channel KAT1 at the plasma membrane. CO2‐sensitive traffic, dependent on trafficking by the SNARE SYP121, impacts stomatal gas exchange and plant growth.

Market response to investor sentiment : [version January 2011] [PDF]
This paper reconsiders the effect of investor sentiment on stock prices. Using survey-based sentiment indicators from Germany and the US we confirm previous findings of predictability at intermediate time horizons.

Noise correlations of one-dimensional Bose mixtures in optical lattices
We study the noise correlations of one-dimensional binary Bose mixtures, as a probe of their quantum phases. In previous work, we found a rich structure of many-body phases in such mixtures, such as paired and counterflow superfluidity.
