Financial inclusion, remittances and household consumption in sub-Saharan Africa: Evidence from the application of an endogenous threshold dynamic panel model

open access: yesEconomics and Business Review
This paper examines the effect of financial inclusion on per capita household consumption expenditures in sub-Saharan Africa. It uses data from 28 countries over the period 2004–2022 and an endogenous threshold dynamic panel model for econometric ...

The Impact of Farming Mitigation Measures on Ammonia Concentrations and Nitrogen Deposition in the UK

open access: yesAtmosphere
Ammonia (NH3) is an important precursor to airborne fine particulate matter (PM2.5) which causes significant health issues and can significantly impact terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems through deposition.

Formation of Stable Amorphous Calcium Phosphate and Collagen Assemblies by a Versatile Spray‐Drying Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) microparticles with long‐term and thermal stability are prepared with or without collagen using a scalable one‐pot spray‐drying process. Under simulated physiological conditions, they crystallize into biomimetic bone mineral and, when combined with collagen, form extrudable, fibrillar bone‐like 3D constructs.

Functional Outcome and Complications in Fracture Tibia Operated with Intramedullary Interlocking Nail: A Prospective Study in a Tertiary Care Hospital [PDF]

open access: yesWalawalkar International Medical Journal, 2020
Introduction: Treatment of open tibia fracture is controversial. Complication like infection, re-operation, and non- union are more common after these fractures. While grade II and III fractures are mostly treated with detriment and external fixator,

Extremal limits of the Cvetic-Youm black hole and nilpotent orbits of G2(2)

open access: yes, 2010
We study extremal cohomogeneity one five-dimensional asymptotically flat black holes of minimal supergravity in terms of the geodesics generated by nilpotent elements of the Lie algebra g2(2) on the coset manifold G2(2)/SO(2,2). There are two branches of

Slight Truncation Changes in Iron Oxide Nanocubes Strongly Affect Their Magnetic Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Subtle variations in nanoparticle morphology can lead to significant changes in functional properties. An automated shape‐fitting method captures minor differences in corner truncation between iron oxide nanocubes of similar sizes synthesized under identical conditions, revealing pronounced disparities in their magnetic and hyperthermia behavior ...

The use of Bioceramics as root-end filling materials in periradicular surgery: A literature review

open access: yesSaudi Dental Journal, 2018
Introduction: Periradicular surgery involves the placement of a root-end filling following root-end resection, to provide an apical seal to the root canal system. Historically several materials have been used in order to achieve this seal.
