Functional Characterization of the Candidate Tumor Suppressor Gene NPRL2 / G21 Located in 3p21.3C [PDF]

open access: yesCancer Research, 2004
Abstract Initial analysis identified the NPRL2/G21 gene located in 3p21.3C, the lung cancer region, as a strong candidate tumor suppressor gene. Here we provide additional evidence of the tumor suppressor function of NPRL2/G21. The gene has highly conserved homologs/orthologs ranging from yeast to humans.

Consumers' Environmental Awareness and Firms' Managerial Delegation Contracts Under Emission Tax Policies

open access: yesScottish Journal of Political Economy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study considers consumers' environmental awareness of polluting firms' managerial delegation contracts and compares the effects of committed and time‐consistent emission tax policies. It reveals that when environmental performance (EP) incentives prevail, sales performance (SP) incentives depend on the emission tax type and competition ...

Spectrum Coordination in Energy Efficient Cognitive Radio Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Device coordination in open spectrum systems is a challenging problem, particularly since users experience varying spectrum availability over time and location.

The role of substrate materials for the survival and growth of coral micro‐fragment sheets

open access: yesRestoration Ecology, Volume 34, Issue 4, May 2026.
Biofouling can have a negative impact on the survival and growth of corals in aquaculture. For coral aquaculture to support reef restoration, there needs to be a cost‐effective and efficient method that reduces the reliance on labor for coral maintenance.

Spontaneous CP Violation at Finite Temperature in the MSSM [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
By studying the effective potential of the MSSM at finite temperature, we find that CP can be spontaneously broken in the intermediate region between the symmetric and broken phases separated by the bubble wall created at the phase transition.

Evaluating the accuracy of the EcoservR toolkit for fine‐resolution habitat mapping

open access: yesEcological Solutions and Evidence, Volume 7, Issue 2, April/June 2026.
Accurate habitat maps are essential for monitoring ecological change and supporting nature recovery planning. We evaluate the EcoservR rule‐based habitat mapping toolkit using field survey data from Merseyside and the North York Moors, validating classifications across the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) Phase 1 hierarchy.

Generating QCD amplitudes in the color-flow basis with MadGraph [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We propose to make use of the off-shell recursive relations with the color-flow decomposition in the calculation of QCD amplitudes on MadGraph. We introduce colored quarks and their interactions with nine gluons in the color-flow basis plus an Abelian ...

Bioinspired Engineering of Streamlined Skeletal Interoception: Neural Bioprinted Piezoelectric Scaffolds for Neuro‐Vascularized Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 21, 13 April 2026.
This study develops neural bioprinted piezoelectric scaffolds which construct local “sensor‐effector” circuit, inspired by the skeletal interoception system. Upon US stimulation sensing and mechanoelectrical coupling by PLLA nanofibers, the incorporated DRG neurons effect through Ca2+ influx‐induced enhanced secretion and expression of CGRP.

Transport in a three-terminal graphene quantum dot in the multi-level regime

open access: yes, 2012
We investigate transport in a three-terminal graphene quantum dot. All nine elements of the conductance matrix have been independently measured. In the Coulomb blockade regime accurate measurements of individual conductance resonances reveal slightly ...
