The history of the iron Kαline profile in the Piccinotti AGN ESO 198-G24 [PDF]
This paper presents ASCA (July 1997), XMM-Newton (December 2000) and BeppoSAX (January 2001) observations of the Piccinotti Seyfert 1 galaxy ESO198-G24. The BeppoSAX 0.1-200 keV spectrum exhibits reprocessing features, probably produced by an X-ray illuminated, relativistic accretion disk subtending a solid angle \~2 pi.

Bridging wheat kernel microstructure and flour rheology occurring during wheat germination. [PDF]
Abstract BACKGROUND Wheat germination increases α‐amylase activity, leading to significant biochemical and structural changes that influence flour rheological properties. Understanding the correlation between internal kernel structure and flour rheology is essential for predicting processing performance and optimizing the use of germinated wheat in ...

Spring ephemeral Erythronium umbilicatum may not be vulnerable to phenological mismatch with overstory trees. [PDF]
Abstract Premise The defining life history strategy of spring ephemeral wildflowers is their avoidance of shading by trees during the brief, high‐light period before canopy leaf out. Studies suggest that spring ephemerals will experience increased light competition because canopy leaf out is more sensitive to warming than is the phenology of spring ...
