XMM-Newton observation of the Seyfert 1 ESO 198-G24 [PDF]
We present the results from an XMM-Newton observation (January 24, 2001) of the bright Seyfert 1 galaxy ESO 198-G24 (z=0.045). We found that this Seyfert has an intrinsic 2-10 keV luminosity of about 10^44 erg s-1. This source shows no intrinsic absorption in addition to the Galactic absorption (N_{H}~3 x 10^20 cm-2).

Quantum phase transitions with Photons and Polaritons [PDF]
We show that a system of polaritons - combined atom and photon excitations - in an array of coupled cavities, under an experimental set-up usually considered in electromagnetically induced transparency, is described by the Bose-Hubbard model.

A new rating of sustainability based on the Morningstar Sustainability Rating
Nowadays, investors seek beyond the financial performance of their investments, including Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria in the decision-making process. To this effect, there are currently suppliers who offer different methodologies

Infall of gas as the formation mechanism of stars up to 20 times more massive than the Sun [PDF]
Theory predicts and observations confirm that low-mass stars (like the Sun) in their early life grow by accreting gas from the surrounding material.

On the origin of the featureless soft X-ray excess emission from the Seyfert 1 galaxy ESO~198--G24 [PDF]
We present medium and high resolution X-ray spectral study of a Seyfert 1 galaxy ESO~198--G24 using a long (122 ks) XMM-Newton observation performed in February 2006. The source has a prominent featureless soft X-ray excess below $2\kev$.

Identification of High-Yielding Genotypes of Barley in the Warm Regions of Iran
One of the most important effects of climatic changes is increasing temperatures and expanding water deficit stress in tropical and subtropical regions.

Field Theoretic Branes and Tachyons of the QCD String [PDF]
Dvali and Shifman have proposed a field-theoretic mechanism for localizing gauge fields to "branes" in higher dimensional spaces using confinement in a bulk gauge theory.
