The Zinc Finger Protein Znf281 Is Essential for the Formation of Neural Tissue in Xenopus Embryos

open access: yesDevelopment, Growth &Differentiation, Volume 68, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Zinc finger protein 281 (Znf281) plays important roles in human malignancies, stem cell pluripotency, and placental and embryonic development. However, the function of Znf281 during early neural development remains unclear. Here, we investigated the role of Znf281 in the formation of neural tissue in Xenopus embryos.

Quantum Many-Body Phenomena in Coupled Cavity Arrays

open access: yes, 2008
The increasing level of experimental control over atomic and optical systems gained in the past years have paved the way for the exploration of new physical regimes in quantum optics and atomic physics, characterised by the appearance of quantum many ...

Year‐Long Robust DG Allocation and Probability‐Based Battery Scheduling in Uncertain Hybrid Renewable Energy System Using GO and BRO Algorithms

open access: yesInternational Transactions on Electrical Energy Systems, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Escalating load demand at the distribution level necessitates the incorporation of distributed generators (DGs) into power systems. Consequently, the utilization of DGs into power systems based on renewable energy has become a primary approach in the pursuit of affordable and sustainable energy supply.

Group extensions with special properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Given a group G and a G-module A, we show how to determine up to isomorphism the extensions E of A by G so that A embeds as smallest non-trivial term of the derived series or of the lower central series into E.Comment: 13 pages, 2 ...

Superconductivity, Superfluidity and Holography

open access: yes, 2013
This is a concise review of holographic superconductors and superfluids. We highlight some predictions of the holographic models and the emphasis is given to physical aspects rather than to the technical details, although some references to understand ...

A Simple UV-Completion of QED in 5D

open access: yes, 2010
We construct a Lifshitz-like version of five-dimensional (5D) QED which is UV - completed and reduces at low energies to ordinary 5D QED. The UV quantum behaviour of this theory is very smooth.

Microbial and Metabolomic Variations Correlated With Gastric Cancer Subtypes and Prognosis

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 14, Issue 6, December 2025.
Multi‐omics analysis of 50 GC patients revealed conserved microbial‐metabolite signatures across Lauren/ZJU subtypes, with ZJU‐specific features—Eubacterium_ventriosum_group and N6‐Succinyl Adenosine—enabling superior prognostic stratification. ABSTRACT Gastric cancer (GC) persists as the third most prevalent malignancy in China.

Estimating Short-term Default Probabilities Conditional to Economic Conditions: Applications of Regularisation Approach and Economic Adjustment Coefficients

open access: yesBusiness Systems Research
Corporate bonds are crucial for corporations as they provide a flexible and often less costly alternative to equity financing. However, rising corporate debt levels, along with rating downgrades and economic uncertainty, can cause corporations to face ...

A finite loop space not rationally equivalent to a compact Lie group

open access: yes, 2003
We construct a connected finite loop space of rank 66 and dimension 1254 whose rational cohomology is not isomorphic as a graded vector space to the rational cohomology of any compact Lie group, hence providing a counterexample to a classical conjecture.
