Relativistic Positioning Systems: The Emission Coordinates [PDF]
This paper introduces some general properties of the gravitational metric and the natural basis of vectors and covectors in 4-dimensional emission coordinates. Emission coordinates are a class of space-time coordinates defined and generated by 4 emitters

Helix surfaces in the Berger Sphere [PDF]
We characterize helix surfaces in the Berger sphere, that is surfaces which form a constant angle with the Hopf vector field. In particular, we show that, locally, a helix surface is determined by a suitable 1-parameter family of isometries of the Berger

[Abridged] Our aim is to explore the gas dynamics and the accretion process in the early phase of high-mass star formation. The inward motion of molecular gas in the massive star forming region G34.26+0.15 is investigated by using high-resolution ...

Background Survival of pediatric and young adults with malignant glioma remains poor despite progress in treatment. This is especially true for diffuse hemispheric glioma (DHG), H3 G34-mutant, which is often present in adolescent and young adult patients.

Magnetic Fields in the Infrared Dark Cloud G34.43+0.24 [PDF]
We present the B-fields mapped in IRDC G34.43+0.24 using 850 μm polarized dust emission observed with the POL-2 instrument at the James Clerk Maxwell telescope. We examine the magnetic field geometries and strengths in the northern, central, and southern

HI in four star-forming low-luminosity E/S0 and S0 galaxies
We present HI data cubes of four low-luminosity early-type galaxies which are currently forming stars. These galaxies have absolute magnitudes in the range M_B=-17.9 to -19.9 (H_o=50 km/s/Mpc).

Theory of optically forbidden d-d transitions in strongly correlated crystals [PDF]
A general multiband formulation of linear and non-linear optical response functions for realistic models of correlated crystals is presented. Dipole forbidden d-d optical transitions originate from the vertex functions, which we consider assuming ...

Suzaku observations of hard X-ray selected Seyfert 2 galaxies
We present Suzaku observations of five hard X-ray selected nearby Seyfert 2 galaxies. All the sources were clearly detected with the pin Hard X-ray Detector up to several tens of keV, allowing for a fairly good characterization of the broad-band X-ray ...

Immunohistochemistry as a tool for identifying EGFR amplification in CNS tumors
EGFR gene amplification constitutes a diagnostic hallmark for glioblastoma, IDH‐wildtype (GB, IDH‐WT). Herein, we demonstrated that EGFR IHC is a highly specific and sensitive biomarker for identifying EGFR amplification and should be part of the neuropathologist's routine panel of antibodies.
