A Thiourea-Containing Fluorescent Chemosensor for Detecting Ga3+
Journal of Fluorescence, 2020A thiourea-based fluorescent chemosensor NADA, (E)-2-(4-(diethylamino)-2-hydroxybenzylidene)-N-(naphthalen-1-yl)hydrazine-1-carbothioamide, has been designed and synthesized. NADA could detect Ga3+ through a fluorescent turn-on with a low detection limit (0.29 μM). Importantly, NADA could effectively discriminate Ga3+ from Al3+ and In3+.

Summary The relative biological activities of GA3-7-aldehyde and GA3-7-alcohol in the dwarf pea bioassay were determined to be 0.1 and 0.005% as compared to GA3 (100%). The 6-methyl analogue of GA3 was completely inactive. Thus the results confirm that modification of the 6-carboxyl group in gibberellins drastically reduces the biological activity ...

Ga3+ as a mechanistic probe in Fe3+ transport: characterization of Ga3+ interaction with FbpA
JBIC Journal of Biological Inorganic Chemistry, 2008The obligate human pathogens Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and N. meningitidis utilize a highly conserved, three-protein ATP-binding cassette transporter (FbpABC) to shuttle free Fe(3+) from the periplasm and across the cytoplasmic membrane.

Physiological characterization ofPseudomonas pseudoflava GA3
Current Microbiology, 1981Pseudomonas pseudoflava GA3, an aerobic hydrogen-oxidizing bacterium, was characterized physiologically. The doubling time of autotrophically growing cells was 2.5 h for cells growing heterotrophically on sucrose it was 1.5 h; and for cells growing heterotrophically on fructose, succinate, lactate, glutamate, treahalose, glucose, and pyruvate it was ...

Abstract Complete active space MC SCF (CAS SCF) followed by configuration interaction calculations which employ relativistic effective potentials are carried out on seven low-lying electronic states of Ga 3 and two electronic states of Ga 3 + . The 2 A 1 state is the ground state with a near-equilateral triangular geometry. Two degenerate excited
