Magnetic resonance-retrograde pyelography: A novel technique for evaluation of chyluria

open access: yesIndian Journal of Urology, 2014
There are no standardized radiological investigations in a patient with chyluria. Retrograde pyelography (RGP) is usually done to demonstrate pyelo-lymphatic reflux before invasive therapy in the form of sclerotherapy and surgery.

Lanthanides-Based Nanoparticles Conjugated with Rose Bengal for FRET-Mediated X-Ray-Induced PDT

open access: yesPharmaceuticals
In order to find a good candidate for Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET)-mediated X-ray-induced photodynamic therapy (X-PDT) for the treatment of cancer, lanthanide (Ln)-based AGuIX nanoparticles (NPs) conjugated with Rose Bengal (RB) as a ...

Gadolinium-Doped Hydroxyapatite Nanorods as T1 Contrast Agents and Drug Carriers for Breast Cancer Therapy

open access: yes, 2019
Hydroxyapatite nanoparticles have drawn much attention in the development of multifunctional nanosystems because of their excellent biocompatibility. In the report, gadolinium-doped hydroxyapatite nanorods (NHA:Gd) were controlled synthesized through ...

Preferential Orientation of Photochromic Gadolinium Oxyhydrides

open access: yes, 2020
We report preferential orientation control in photochromic gadolinium oxyhydride (GdHO) thin films deposited by a two-step process. Gadolinium hydride (GdH2-x) films were grown by reactive magnetron sputtering, followed by oxidation in air.

A gadolinium cryptate with two coordinated water molecules

open access: yes, 1998
An X-ray crystallographic structure determination of the nitrate salt of the gadolinium imBT cryptate shows coordination of two water molecules; NMRD relaxometry of this cryptate reveals a relaxivity of 5.8 mM–1 s–1 (at 10 MHz, 298 K and pH 6), which is ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.
