Modern digital flight control system design for VTOL aircraft [PDF]

open access: yes
Methods for and results from the design and evaluation of a digital flight control system (DFCS) for a CH-47B helicopter are presented. The DFCS employed proportional-integral control logic to provide rapid, precise response to automatic or manual ...

Gain scheduled flight control law for a flexible aircraft : A practical approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Abstract: This paper presents a gain-scheduling method applied to flight control law design. The method is a stabilitypreservinginterpolation technique ofexisting controllers under observer-state feedback form.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Adaptive PID Gain Scheduling Control for Hydropower Turbine Using Neural CDE and Stochastic Distribution Shaping

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper introduces a gain-scheduling PID controller design strategy for hydroturbine frequency control mode. This scheme first uses real data to learn the nonlinear dynamics of the hydroturbine using neural controlled differential equations and then ...

Beam Grouping Based User Scheduling in Multi-Cell Millimeter-Wave MIMO Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
This paper investigates the user scheduling in multi-cell millimeter-wave multiple-input multiple-output systems. The asymptotic analysis reveals that scheduling of users with larger effective channel gains is beneficial.

Design of a candidate flutter suppression control law for DAST ARW-2 [PDF]

open access: yes
A control law is developed to suppress symmetric flutter for a mathematical model of an aeroelastic research vehicle. An implementable control law is attained by including modified LQC (Linear Quadratic Gaussian) design techniques, controller order ...

Nonlinear Rescaling of Control Laws with Application to Stabilization in the Presence of Magnitude Saturation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Motivated by some recent results on the stabilization of homogeneous systems, we present a gain-scheduling approach for the stabilization of non-linear systems.

Gain-scheduled synchronization of parameter varying systems via relative $H_\infty$ consensus with application to synchronization of uncertain bilinear systems

open access: yes, 2014
The paper considers a problem of consensus-based synchronization of uncertain parameter varying multi-agent systems. We present a method for constructing consensus-based synchronization protocol schedules for each agent to ensure it synchronizes with a ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
