A high gain strategy with positive-feedback gain enhancement technique

ISCAS 2001. The 2001 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.01CH37196), 2002
Several new CMOS very high DC-gain amplifiers that use internal positive-feedback techniques are presented. These amplifiers have a controllable gain and don't require perfect matching of transistors to achieve the high DC gain. An implementation of a sample and hold circuit constructed using one of the proposed amplifiers is described.

Gain Enhancement of Antenna Arrays with Beamsteering

2018 International Conference on High Performance Computing & Simulation (HPCS), 2018
This paper describes the design and analysis of multiple rectangular patch antenna arrays. Several designs are proposed, simulated and measured namely single, 2 × 2, 4 × 2, and 4 × 4 arrays. The antenna parameters gain, directivity, and return loss are all examined for conclusion making.

Broadcasting on the Grassmannian: Enhancing the multiplexing gain

2011 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory Proceedings, 2011
It is known that in multiantenna broadcast channels without transmitter-side channel state information (CSIT), time-sharing (orthogonal transmission) achieves the maximum multiplexing gain if perfect receiver-side channel state information (CSIR) is available to all receivers, or if no receiver has CSIR.

Theory of microcavity-enhanced Raman gain

Optics Letters, 1999
We present a method for obtaining a simple relation between bulk and cavity-modified Raman gains for microcavities with arbitrary geometric shapes. The analytical expression for the microcavity-enhanced Raman gain quantitatively accounts quite well for all the main features of the related experiments.
