A Rigorous Solution to the Superluminal Issue in the Diffusion Equation

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Superluminal propagation is an intrinsic problem in the diffusion equation and has not been effectively addressed for a long time. In this work, a rigorous solution to this issue is obtained under the assumption that particles undergo a random flight ...

Spectrum and mass composition of cosmic rays in the energy range 1015–1018 eV derived from the Yakutsk array data

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
A spectrum of cosmic rays within energy range 1015 − 3 × 1017 eV was derived from the data of the small Cherenkov setup, which is a part of the Yakutsk complex EAS array. In this, work a new series of observation is covered.

Cosmic rays and molecular clouds

open access: yes, 2012
This paper deals with the cosmic-ray penetration into molecular clouds and with the related gamma--ray emission. High energy cosmic rays interact with the dense gas and produce neutral pions which in turn decay into two gamma rays.

Terrestrial Analogs to Titan for Geophysical Research

open access: yesReviews of Geophysics, Volume 64, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Saturn's moon Titan exhibits remarkable parallels to the Earth in many geophysical and geological processes not found elsewhere in the solar system at the present day. These include a nitrogen atmosphere with a condensible gas—methane—replacing the Earth's water, leading to an active meteorology with rainfall and surface manifestations ...

Radial intensity gradients of galactic cosmic rays in the heliosphere at solar maximum: 1D no-shock simulation [PDF]

open access: yesGeofísica Internacional, 2009
We study the spatial distribution of galactic cosmic rays in the heliosphere at solar maximum of cycles 21, 22 and 23, using a one-dimensional no-shock model of the cosmic ray transport equation.

Effectiveness of Virtual Reality for Pain Relief in Procedures Related to Obstetrics and Gynaecology: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of Randomised Controlled Trials

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, Volume 133, Issue 7, Page 1358-1372, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Immersive virtual reality (VR) technology offers a non‐invasive, non‐pharmacological approach to reduce pain perception in patients undergoing diagnostic or interventional procedures. Objective To systematically evaluate the efficacy of immersive VR technology in reducing pain perception during obstetric and gynaecological ...

TeV GAMMA RAYS: OBSERVATIONS VERSUS EXPECTATIONS & THEORY

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2013
The scope of this paper is to discuss two important questions relevant for TeV γ-ray astronomy; the pursuit to reveal the origin of cosmic rays in our galaxy, and the opacity of the universe in γ-rays.

Modulation of galactic cosmic rays during the unusual solar minimum between cycles 23 and 24 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
During the recent solar minimum between cycles 23 and 24 (solar minimum P23/24), the intensity of galactic cosmic rays (GCR) measured at the Earth was the highest ever recorded since space age.

Constraining the Hydration of Clay Minerals and Abundances of Amorphous Phases in Gale Crater, Mars

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 131, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Both water and organic matter are required for the development and persistence of life. Phyllosilicates (clay minerals) have high surface areas that easily sorb water and organic matter. The Curiosity rover has investigated several hundred meters of stratigraphy in Gale crater, including where clays were detected from orbit.
