ABSTRACT This research evaluates the adoption of Sustainability‐Oriented Innovations (SOIs) by UK food manufacturers, particularly in the palm oil sector. Despite the global palm oil industry's environmental and social impacts, such as deforestation and labour exploitation, empirical studies on SOIs are limited. This paper addressed this gap by mapping

Reconstructing Galaxy Cluster Mass Maps using Score-based Generative Modeling
We present a novel approach to reconstruct gas and dark matter projected density maps of galaxy clusters using score-based generative modeling. Our diffusion model takes in mock SZ and X-ray images as conditional inputs, and generates realizations of corresponding gas and dark matter maps by sampling from a learned data posterior. We train and validate

Tidal generation of active spirals and S0 galaxies by rich clusters
Gavazzi and Jaffe found that late-type spiral galaxies in rich clusters are radio sources 10 times more powerful than spirals outside clusters. Gavazzi and Jaffe propose that ram pressure from the cluster medium causes collapse of dense molecular clouds, star formation, and other activity in the spirals disks. Bothun and Dressler similarly explain blue

The major bottleneck of PVMPO‐based positive electrodes is electrode degradation during extended cycling with EC‐containing electrolytes. This issue is mitigated by using EC‐free electrolytes with FEC additives, which exhibit reduced interfacial resistance, fewer surface cracks, improved capacity retention, and suppressed electrode degradation, thereby

ABSTRACT This paper investigates the effects of radiation on polymeric materials used as insulation systems in electrical equipment such as cables for nuclear and particle accelerator applications. After a detailed description of the physics of radiation‐induced damage in the polymeric matrix, a comprehensive analysis of the physical–chemical and ...

‘A Sort of Armed Argument’: Ireland's Civil War of Words
Abstract This article sets out to contribute to the study of the languages of European civil wars through outlining and analysing the deployment of language as a weapon by the opposing sides of the Irish independence movement that split over the terms of the Anglo‐Irish Treaty of December 1921.

On the generalized Faber-Jackson relation for galaxy clusters
The significant deviations among observations and the expectations based on self-similar scaling model of galaxy clusters, especially up to redshift $z\lesssim 0.4$, constrain the evolution of the X-ray clusters scaling relations with the redshift, is claimed that in this redshift range, the data has a strong influence by selection bias.

Abstract In this article we apply Wacquant's conceptualization of the ghetto to an analysis of interviews conducted with Roma people living in the state‐enforced camps of Turin, Italy. We illustrate how the elements characterizing a ghetto according to Wacquant (i.e.
