Abstract We present a detailed study of the galaxy cluster Abell 795 and of its central Fanaroff‐Riley Type 0 (FR0) radio galaxy. From an archival Chandra observation, we found a dynamically disturbed environment with evidences for sloshing of the intracluster medium.

1H 0707‐495: An AGN is dimming its X‐ray light
Abstract We report on one of the first science observations obtained during the Calibration and Verification phase of extended ROentgen Survey with an Imaging Telescope Array (eROSITA) aboard the Spectrum‐Roentgen‐Gamma (SRG) mission on the famous Narrow‐Line Seyfert 1 Galaxy 1H 0707‐495.

Objective This study aimed to test the effectiveness of the Whole of Systems Trial of Prevention Strategies for Childhood Obesity (WHO STOPS Childhood Obesity) for behavioral, health‐related quality of life (HRQoL), and BMI outcomes. Methods This was a cluster randomized trial of 10 communities randomly allocated (1:1) to start intervention in 2015 ...

How do atomic code uncertainties affect abundance measurements in the intracluster medium?
Abstract Accurate chemical abundance measurements of X‐ray‐emitting atmospheres pervading massive galaxies, galaxy groups, and clusters provide essential information on the star formation and chemical enrichment histories of these large‐scale structures.

Dark Matter and Dark Energy Induced by Condensates
It is shown that the vacuum condensate induced by many phenomena behaves as a perfect fluid which, under particular conditions, has zero or negative pressure. In particular, the condensates of thermal states of fields in curved space and of mixed particles have been analyzed.

Clusters of Galaxies in a Weyl Geometric Approach to Gravity
A model for the dark halos of galaxy clusters, based on the Weyl geometric scalar tensor theory of gravity (WST) with a MOND‐like approximation, is proposed. It is uniquely determined by the baryonic mass distribution of hot gas and stars. A first heuristic check against empirical data for 19 clusters (2 of which are outliers), taken from the ...

Chemodynamical Simulations of Dwarf Galaxy Evolution
In this review I give a summary of the state of the art for what concerns the chemo‐dynamical numerical modelling of galaxies in general and of dwarf galaxies in particular. In particular, I focus my attention on (i) initial conditions, (ii) the equations to solve; (iii) the star formation process in galaxies, (iv) the initial mass function, (v) the ...

Astronomical Signatures of Dark Matter
Several independent astronomical observations in different wavelength bands reveal the existence of much larger quantities of matter than what we would deduce from assuming a solar mass to light ratio. They are very high velocities of individual galaxies within clusters of galaxies, higher than expected rotation rates of stars in the outer regions of ...

Properties of the Photometric Components of Lenticular Galaxies
After almost one century since their definition, the origin of lenticular galaxies is still a matter of debate. Several formation processes have been proposed in order to explain the wide variety of their observational properties. These properties could indicate that the class of lenticulars is a family formed by galaxies with different formations and ...

Evidence for AGN Feedback in Galaxy Clusters and Groups
The current generation of flagship X‐ray missions, Chandra and XMM-Newton, has changed our understanding of the so‐called “cool‐core” galaxy clusters and groups. Instead of the initial idea that the thermal gas is cooling and flowing toward the center, the new picture envisages a complex dynamical evolution of the intracluster medium (ICM) regulated by
