Mapping stellar content to dark matter haloes using galaxy clustering and galaxy–galaxy lensing in the SDSS DR7 [PDF]
The mapping between the distributions of the observed galaxy stellar mass and the underlying dark matter haloes provides the crucial link from theories of large-scale structure formation to interpreting the complex phenomena of galaxy formation and evolution.

Stellar content of nearby galaxies. III - The local group spiral galaxy M33
BVRI CCD photometry is presented for stars brighter than V = 21 mag in four fields in the nearby spiral galaxy M33. V vs (B - V) and I vs (V - I) color-magnitude diagrams clearly show both a young stellar population (as indicated by the blue main sequence and red supergiant plumes) as well as an intermediate-age population of asymptotic giant branch ...

The stellar content of the Sagittarius Dwarf Galaxy
We present V,I deep CCD photometry for three fields of the dwarf galaxy in Sagittarius (Sgr). One of the fields is centered on the globular cluster NGC 6715 (M54), which lies in one of the dense clumps of the Sgr galaxy. Comparing the CMD of Sgr with those of globular clusters which are believed to be kinematically associated with the dwarf galaxy, we ...

The stellar content of the isolated transition dwarf galaxy DDO210 [PDF]
We use Subaru Suprime-Cam and VLT FORS1 photometry of the dwarf galaxy DDO210 to study the global stellar content and structural properties of a transition-type galaxy (with properties intermediate between dwarf irregular and dwarf spheroidal systems).

The stellar content of the nuclear regions of Sc galaxies [PDF]
The stellar content of the nuclear regions of seven nearby Sc galaxies has been determined by means of population syntheses utilizing narrow-band spectrophotometric observations covering the wavelength range 3300Å-10400Å. A linear-programming fitting technique is used in conjunction with simple models of star formation to provide physically consistent ...

Stellar content of nearby galaxies. II - The Local Group dwarf elliptical galaxy M32
Using the CCD camera on the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope, color-magnitude (C-M) diagrams were obtained for brightest stars of the Local Group dwarf elliptical galaxy M32. Both the I vs (V-I) and I vs (R-I) CCD C-M diagrams reveal a red population of stars, the brightest of which resolve at I of about 19.5 mag.
