Autoparallels and the Inverse Problem of the Calculus of Variations
Fortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 5, May 2026.ABSTRACT We prove that autoparallel curves associated with a torsion‐free but not necessarily metric‐compatible affine connection can be derived from an action principle. We explicitly construct the action functional and show by standard variational techniques that it produces the desired equations.

Edible Pneumatic Battery for Sustained and Repeated Robot Actuation
Advanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 15, 13 March 2026.This work presents an edible energy source and valve system to power soft, pneumatically driven edible robots. A chemical reaction between sodium bicarbonate and citric acid generates carbon dioxide gas, and a pressure‐triggered edible valve enables self‐repetitive motion of the edible actuator.
