Collisionless Shocks: Contemporary State After Three Quarters of a Century of Research
Abstract The collisionless shock research started in the late 1950s. Since then, plenty of data have been accumulated due to the large number of missions in the heliosphere, providing in situ measurements of the fields and particles. The quality of these measurements has vastly improved, especially in the last two decades.

Serpentine Biocrust Microbes Maintain Nitrogen Cycling Under Drought and Heavy Metal Stress
This study highlights the complex interplay between soil geochemistry and moisture availability in shaping microbial communities within wetter and drier serpentine and non‐serpentine biological soil crusts. It demonstrates that both factors influence the structure of nitrogen‐cycling microbial communities and the processes they mediate.

All energy matters Let us broaden the discussion on solutions to climate change. Greenhouse gases have upset the delicate equilibrium of the Earth's energy balance. Consequently, all sources of heat affect the temperature of the Earth. Although the amount of additional heat generated by humans is a fraction of that produced by the sun, it is generated ...
