Liquid biopsy across cancers: Integrating circulating biomarkers, tumor biology, artificial intelligence, and clinical translation

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Liquid biopsy uses non‐invasive sampling of blood or body fluids to isolate circulating analytes, including circulating tumor DNA, circulating tumor cells, extracellular vesicles, and RNA. These are analyzed using next‐generation sequencing, qPCR, and proteomics to inform cancer detection, monitoring, and characterization. Figure created with BioRender.

Clumps in High-redshift Galaxies: Mass Scaling and Radial Trends from JADES

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Massive star-forming clumps are a prominent feature of high-redshift galaxies and are thought to trace gravitational fragmentation, feedback, and bulge growth in gas-rich disks.

Sensorial and nutritional qualities of muscles from cross‐bred Salers heifers raised on mid‐mountain pasture

open access: yesJSFA reports, EarlyView.
Abstract Background This study investigated the effects of crossbreeding, finishing system, and muscle type on carcass characteristics, intramuscular fat (IMF), image‐based IMF estimation, fatty acid composition, and meat quality in beef heifers. Charolais × Salers (C × S) and Angus × Salers (A × S) crossbred heifers were finished either on pasture or ...

Understanding the Concept of Self‐Performed Ultrasound: A Scoping Review

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasound in Medicine, EarlyView.
Self‐performed ultrasound is an emerging technology that facilitates adept self‐scans in untrained hands. Inspired by self‐performed imaging in space for more prompt diagnosis and therapy, it has the potential to accurately monitor chronic conditions remotely. However, the lack of supervision and physical restraints can hinder its usability.

HD‐DRUM Rhythmic Training in Huntington's Disease: Feasibility, Motor, and Brain Microstructural Pilot Signals

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Rhythmic cuing may benefit motor functions in Huntington's disease (HD) by compensating for the loss of predictive timing associated with basal ganglia degeneration. To our knowledge no remote rhythmic training application has been developed or evaluated that seeks to improve function in HD.

A Fuzzy and Explainable AI Framework for Comparing Physical and Perceptual Representations in Galaxy Morphology

open access: yesAI
Galaxy morphology combines measurable structural properties with subjective visual interpretation, limiting strictly hard-label classifications. This study proposes a framework designed to compare physically derived and human-based galaxy classifications
