Stochastic 2-D Models of Galaxy Disk Evolution. The Galaxy M33
We have developed a fast numerical 2-D model of galaxy disk evolution (resolved along the galaxy radius and azimuth) by adopting a scheme of parameterized stochastic self-propagating star formation.

Producing MSCs on rigid culture substrates induces a scar‐making phenotype, jeapordizing therapeutic success. ‘Tissue‐soft’ surfaces prevent MSC fibrogenesis and preserve regenerative traits. An epigenetic network, driven by HOXA11 and SALL1, maintains ‘soft memory’ by keeping chromatin open in relaxed MSCs, promoting anti‐fibrotic programs.

The History of Galaxy Mergers in IllustrisTNG
The process of galaxy evolution over cosmic time is not yet fully understood, since there is a debate on the impact of galaxy collisions on the star formation and metallicity.

The star-formation history of the Milky Way Galaxy
The star-formation histories of the main stellar components of the Milky Way constrain critical aspects of galaxy formation and evolution. I discuss recent determinations of such histories, together with their interpretation in terms of theories of disk ...

The Role of Dust in the Early Universe I : Protogalaxy Evolution [PDF]
We develop one-zone galaxy formation models in the early Universe, taking into account dust formation and evolution by supernova (SN) explosions. Especially we focus on the time evolution of dust size distribution, because ${\rm H}_{2}$ formation on the ...

The 3K‐AP system forms infinite supramolecular fibrils that undergo controlled degradation into shorter fragments upon enzymatic hydrolysis. Multitechnique imaging reveals a stepwise bacteriolytic mechanism involving bacterial entrapment, disassembly into lethal constructs, and associated extracellular vesicle release, highlighting the dynamic ...

Evolution of the Physical Properties of the Most Massive Galaxies in Clusters and Their Protohalos
We investigated the evolution of the physical properties of the brightest galaxies in clusters and their protohalos from z = 4 to z = 0. Galaxy clusters and groups are identified using a halo-based group finder applied to the COSMOS2020 galaxy catalog ...

Targeting cluster galaxies for the 4MOST CHANCES Low-z sub-survey with photometric redshifts
Context. The evolution of galaxies is shaped by both internal processes and their external environments. Galaxy clusters and their surroundings provide ideal laboratories to study these effects, particularly with respect to mechanisms such as quenching ...

On the Determination of Star Formation Rates in Evolving Galaxy Populations [PDF]
The redshift dependence of the luminosity density in certain wavebands (e.g. UV and H-alpha) can be used to infer the history of star formation in the populations of galaxies producing this luminosity.
