Large multidimensional digital images of cancer tissue are becoming prolific, but many challenges exist to automatically extract relevant information from them using computational tools. We describe publicly available resources that have been developed jointly by expert and non‐expert computational biologists working together during a virtual hackathon

TRIM24 and TRIM28 are androgen receptor (AR) coregulators which exhibit increased expression with cancer progression. Both TRIM24 and TRIM28 combine to influence the response of castrate‐resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) cells to AR inhibitors by mediating AR signalling, regulation of MYC and upregulating VEGF to promote angiogenesis. Castrate‐resistant

Galaxy Groups as the Ultimate Probe of AGN Feedback
The co-evolution between supermassive black holes and their environment is most directly traced by the hot atmospheres of dark matter halos. The cooling of the hot atmosphere supplies the central regions with fresh gas, igniting active galactic nuclei ...

The Metal Content of the Hot Atmospheres of Galaxy Groups
Galaxy groups host the majority of matter and more than half of all the galaxies in the Universe. Their hot (107 K), X-ray emitting intra-group medium (IGrM) reveals emission lines typical of many elements synthesized by stars and supernovae.

A derivation of masses and total luminosities of galaxy groups and clusters in the maxBCG catalogue [PDF]
We report the results of a multi-waveband analysis of the masses and luminosities of $\sim$600 galaxy groups and clusters identified in the maxBCG catalogue.

Scintillation Response of 0D Cs3Cu2I5 Thin Layers to Light‐ and Heavy‐Ion Irradiation
Driven by increasing interest in uncovering the remarkable photoluminescence quantum yield of Cs3Cu2I5, polycrystalline thin layers are synthesized to investigate its radioluminescence response to energetic ions. Its spectroscopic capability is assessed in a wide range of ion mass and internal excitation processes are explored.

Core to Cosmic Edge: SIMBA-C’s New Take on Abundance Profiles in the Intragroup Medium at z = 0
We employ the simba-c cosmological simulation to study the impact of its upgraded chemical enrichment model (Chem5) on the distribution of metals in the intragroup medium (IGrM).

Galaxy And Mass Assembly (GAMA): the halo mass of galaxy groups from maximum-likelihood weak lensing [PDF]
We present a maximum-likelihood weak-lensing analysis of the mass distribution in optically selected spectroscopic Galaxy Groups (G3Cv5) in the Galaxy And Mass Assembly (GAMA) survey, using background Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) photometric galaxies.

In people with overweight or obesity, regular exercise even without weight loss or vitamin D supplementation completely prevents the usual winter decline in the vitamin D metabolite that maintains health at a cellular level, 1,25(OH)2D3, and ameliorates the decline in the vitamin D status marker 25(OH)D.

No Evidence of Asymmetrically Enhanced Star Formation in Infalling Galaxies in UNIONS
Ram pressure stripping is a well-known environmental quenching mechanism that removes gas from galaxies infalling into groups and clusters. In some extreme examples of ram pressure stripping, galaxies with extended gas tails show evidence of enhanced ...
