ABSTRACT Background Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is the standard treatment for acute cholecystitis (AC), but some patients are unfit for (immediate) surgery. Endoscopic ultrasound‐guided gallbladder drainage (EUS‐GBD) using a lumen‐apposing metal stent (LAMS) is increasingly used in this population.
