A Convoy of Magnetic Millirobots Transports Endoscopic Instruments for Minimally‐Invasive Surgery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The first electrocautery procedure performed by a team of millirobots (TrainBots) is presented. Enhanced with optimized feet, millirobots form a convoy to facilitate the collaborative transportation of wires and catheters through biological lumens, e.g. bile ducts. It opens up the possibility of using a team of mini‐robots in future endoscopic surgery.

Neuroendocrine neoplasm of the gallbladder: Clinical features, surgical efficacy, and prognosis

open access: yesCancer Medicine, 2023
AbstractBackgroundNeuroendocrine neoplasm (NEN) of the gallbladder is rare. It is usually asymptomatic and occurs in older adults. Its clinicopathological characteristics remain controversial, and the diagnosis and treatment strategies are usually based on models of adenocarcinoma. The present study aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics and

Targeting PTBP3‐Mediated Alternative Splicing of COX11 Induces Cuproptosis for Inhibiting Gastric Cancer Peritoneal Metastasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The splicing factor PTBP3 promotes COX11 exon skipping, allowing gastric cancer organoids to evade cuproptosis. Antisense oligonucleotide drugs targeting PTBP3‐mediated COX11 alternative splicing, in combination with copper ionophores, promote cuproptosis in organoids, thereby providing a therapeutic approach for gastric cancer peritoneal metastasis ...

Neuroendocrine Carcinoma and Intracystic Papillary Neoplasm: A Rare Association in the Gallbladder [PDF]

open access: yesGE - Portuguese Journal of Gastroenterology, 2019
Neuroendocrine carcinoma of the gallbladder is a very rare neoplasia comprising only 0.2% of all the gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumors. We present the case of an 85-year-old male with nonspecific gastrointestinal symptoms, progressive weight loss, and deterioration in the preceding 15 days.

Genetically Engineered IL12/CSF1R‐Macrophage Membrane‐Liposome Hybrid Nanovesicles for NIR‐II Fluorescence Imaging‐Guided and Membrane‐Targeted Mild Photothermal‐Immunotherapy of Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A theranostic nanoplatform is formulated with NIR‐II emissive lipophilic cyanine dye IRC18 to intercalate into genetically engineered IL12/CSF1R‐macrophage membrane‐liposome hybrid nanovesicles, which assists to achieve blood–brain barrier crossing, glioblastoma targeting, NIR‐II fluorescence imaging, image‐guided membrane‐targeted mild photothermal ...

Generation of a High‐Precision Whole Liver Panorama and Cross‐Scale 3D Pathological Analysis for Hepatic Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using the MOSTtechnology and whole‐liver Nissl staining method, a multi‐structural 3D pathological panorama of liver fibrosis is obtained. The damaged sinusoids, steatotic hepatocytes, and collagen deposition are all concentrated in pericentral areas.
