Identification of Bones of Galliform Hybrids
Journal of Archaeological Science, 2000Abstract Six types of bones (sternum, pelvis, humerus, coracoid, scapula and femur) of three kinds of galliform hybrids ( Tetrao urogallus×T. tetrix, Tetrao urogallus×Lagopus lagopus and Tetrao tetrix×Lagopus lagopus ) were studied. Mensural and morphological characters differentiating the hybrids from pure galliform species are described.
