Gallus gallus domesticus (Galliformes: Phasianidae) as a biological model for biosafety analysis of the hexane fraction of the fruits and seeds of Ricinus communis L. (Malpighiales: Euphorbiaciae)

open access: yesSemina: Ciências Agrárias
Brazil became the largest consumer of pesticides in the world in 2021. These products, although necessary, can cause significant damage to non-target organisms and agroecosystems.

Evolutionary history of the mariner element galluhop in avian genomes

open access: yesMobile DNA, 2017
Background Transposable elements (TEs) are highly abundant genomic parasites in eukaryote genomes. Although several genomes have been screened for TEs, so far very limited information is available regarding avian TEs and their evolutionary histories ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Helminth communities in the alimentary tract of free raised chickens on rainfed and irrigated agrosystems from southwest Spain

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2021
The helminth communities of Extremeña Azul breed chickens (Gallus gallus) have been studied from south-western free-ranging farms in Spain. Two farming systems were compared: a rainfed system and an irrigated system.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Feasibility of Variety Chicken Businessesthe Domestic Fallandpama-Khoy In The Villagemiddle Consciousness

open access: yesAgricultural Science
Cultivating gallus domestic and pama-khoy chicken varieties in Sadartengah Village is very profitable because the selling price is quite high for both gallus domesticus and pama-khoy chickens. Gallus domesticus and pama-khoy chicken varieties can be sold

The complete mitochondrial genome sequence of Lindian Chicken (Gallus gallus) in China

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2018
In this study, the first complete mitochondrial genome of Lindian Chicken (Gallus gallus) was sequenced in order to develop the mitogenome data for genus gallus.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic
