On local Galois deformation rings: generalised reductive groups

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Pi
We study deformation theory of mod p Galois representations of p-adic fields with values in generalised reductive group schemes, such as L-groups and C-groups.

On separable algebras in Grothendieck Galois theory

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 1996
We give an explicit proof of the fundamental theorem of Grothendieck Galois theory: the category of separable algebras over a field K is anti-equivalent to the category of continuous actions on finite sets of the profinite fundamental group of K.

Fuzzy Bases of Fuzzy Domains

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
This paper is an attempt to develop quantitative domain theory over frames. Firstly, we propose the notion of a fuzzy basis, and several equivalent characterizations of fuzzy bases are obtained.

Rough sets based on Galois connections

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, 2020
Rough set theory is an important tool to extract knowledge from relational databases. The original definitions of approximation operators are based on an indiscernibility relation, which is an equivalence one.

Galois Theories

open access: yes, 2001
Starting from the classical finite-dimensional Galois theory of fields, this book develops Galois theory in a much more general context, presenting work by Grothendieck in terms of separable algebras and then proceeding to the infinite-dimensional case, which requires considering topological Galois groups.

Modularity of trianguline Galois representations

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma
We use the theory of trianguline $(\varphi ,\Gamma )$ -modules over pseudorigid spaces to prove a modularity lifting theorem for certain Galois representations which are trianguline at p, including those with characteristic p coefficients.

Bridging 4D QFTs and 2D VOAs via 3D high-temperature EFTs

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The high-temperature limit of the superconformal index, especially on higher sheets, often captures useful universal information about a theory. In 4d N = 2 $$ \mathcal{N}=2 $$ superconformal field theories with fractional r-charges, there exists a ...

A Meta-Logical Framework for the Equivalence of Syntactic and Semantic Theories

open access: yesPhilosophies
This paper introduces a meta-logical framework—based on the theory of institutions (a categorical version of abstract model theory)—to be used as a tool for the formalization of the two main views regarding the structure of scientific theories, namely ...

Looking for the G 2 Higgs branch of 4D rank 1 SCFTs

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The Schur index of the Higgs branch of 4-dimensional N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 SCFTs is related to the spectrum of non-unitary 2-dimensional CFTs. The rank 1 case has been shown to lead to the non-unitary CFTs with Deligne-Cvitanovic (DC) exceptional ...
