Directionally Modulated Zinc Deposition by a Robust Zincophilic Cu‐Phthalocyanine Protective Layer in Dendrite‐Free Aqueous Zinc Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Benefiting from the precisely anchored zincophilic sites, the ample transport channels with rich redox active sites, and the suppressed hydrogen evolution by the copper (Cu) sites, a highly conjugated robust Cu‐Phthalocyanine covalent organic framework layer is designed and applied for directional modulation of zinc (Zn) ions and dendrite‐free Zn ...

An Insight Into Necessity of Complete Electrolyte for Photogalvanics and Contribution of Thermal and Photo‐Processes in Solar Power Generation Through the Photo‐Galvanic Cells [PDF]

open access: goldBattery Energy, EarlyView.
The reductant/sensitizer/etc. individually shows only thermally‐induced current in photogalvanic cell. Only, complete electrolyte is able to show solar energy conversion. Use of complete electrolyte is a necessary condition for solar power generation through the photogalvanics.

Designing an Anionic Layer in Low‐Concentration Electrolytes to Promote In‐Plane Ion Diffusion for Dendrite‐Free Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An optimization model for zinc anodes centered on anion traction in a low‐concentration electrolyte system is proposed. The fluoride‐ion enriched interfacial layer on the zinc anode surface enhances the concentration of Zn2+ in a lateral direction through electrostatic forces, thereby facilitating horizontal zinc plating.

Analysis of cell performance and thermal regeneration of a lithium-tin cell having an immobilized fused-salt electrolyte [PDF]

open access: yes, 1969
Cell performance and thermal regeneration of a thermally regenerative cell uses lithium and tin and a fused-salt electrolyte. The emf of the Li-Sn cell, as a function of cathode-alloy composition, is shown to resemble that of the Na-Bi ...
