Study of crevice-galvanic corrosion of aluminum [PDF]

open access: yes, 1967
Corrosion effects of aluminum-copper and aluminum-nickel couples in oxygenated distilled water, and aluminum alloys in oxygenated copper sulfate solution were studied. One of each of the couples had a water tight seal, and showed no substantial corrosion,

Mechanism of Zinc Corrosion in Accelerated Corrosion Tests

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
Real‐time corrosion rate of zinc was measured using electrical resistance sensors. Chloride deposition is the most corrosive phase of the test. Chloride concentration and deposition method affect corrosion throughout the test. Corrosion is accelerated by prolonged wet/dry transitions.

Thermal control system corrosion study [PDF]

open access: yes
During the development of an expert system for autonomous control of the Space Station Thermal Control System (TCS), the thermal performance of the Brassboard TCS began to gradually degrade. This degradation was due to filter clogging by metallic residue.

Utilization of Pulsed Current‐Electro Fenton Technology for the Treatment of Wastewater from Industrial Processes

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
Pulsed‐Electro‐Fenton method: Experiments were conducted on the direct and pulsed current‐electro‐Fenton processes. EAOP methods were compared for elimination color and COD from industrial wastewater. EF technique effectively removes color and COD while consuming minimal electricity.

Bioleaching as an Eco‐Friendly Nano‐Factory for Sustainable Inorganic Waste Management: Current Advancements, Challenges, and Opportunities

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
The review explores the latest updates and information about the global trends and hazards of e‐waste and also discusses the bioleaching of metals and nanoparticles from various inorganic wastes. It also focuses on the mechanistic pathway of the bioleaching process and computational aspects. Inorganic waste management and metal recovery technology pose
