Autonomic Nervous System Responses Can Reveal Visual Fatigue Induced by 3D Displays

open access: yesSensors, 2013
Previous research has indicated that viewing 3D displays may induce greater visual fatigue than viewing 2D displays. Whether viewing 3D displays can evoke measureable emotional responses, however, is uncertain. In the present study, we examined autonomic

Electrodermal Activity and Chronotropism for Transient Occlusion of Major Upper Arm Artery: a Quantitative Assessment of Autonomic Response

open access: yesJournal of College of Medical Sciences-Nepal, 2020
Background: Blood vessels in body respond to sympathetic upsurge and, occlusion of blood vessels supplying vital organs excites autonomic reactions, building up chaos in homeostasis. Autonomic response to occlusion of major artery, not supplying to vital

Don't Sweat It: Cannabinoid CB1 Receptors Reduce Sweating in a Mouse Model. [PDF]

open access: yesFASEB J
A new galvanic skin response‐based approach offers a simple method for measuring sweating in the paws of mice. This method is used to demonstrate that cannabinoid CB1 receptors reduce baseline sweating in mice, likely via inhibition of sympathetic acetylcholine release via axonal CB1 receptors.

Autonomic Sweat Responses in REM Sleep Behavior Disorder and Parkinsonism

open access: yesJournal of Parkinson’s Disease, 2018
Background: Autonomic dysfunctions including sudomotor abnormalities commonly occur in early Parkinson’s disease (PD), but little is known about potential sudomotor abnormalities in idiopathic REM Sleep Behavior Disorder (iRBD), a strong prodromal marker
