Composite Coatings of Chromium and Nanodiamond Particles on Steel
Chrome plating is used to improve the properties of metal surfaces like hardness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance in machine building. To further improve these properties, an electrodeposited chromium coating on steel, modified with nanodiamond ...

Galvanizing Science Departments [PDF]
Countless reports have stressed the economic and broad societal benefits to be gained from improved science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education for all students. At the higher education level, there is extensive evidence that innovative teaching methods improve student learning and are practical to implement. Yet these methods remain at

Aspirations and Apprehensions: Reconciling Youths' Desires and Concerns for a Sustainable Future
ABSTRACT Although youth are widely acknowledged as change agents, their full participation is often limited by immediate concerns. This study examines how young people's aspirations shape their engagement with sustainability amid economic, environmental, and social uncertainties. Drawing on a large‐scale international survey (n: 15,076) and multinomial

Can Environmental Markets Pay for More Sustainable Farm Dams? A Cost–Benefit Analysis
ABSTRACT Farm dams are widespread artificial waterbodies that play a critical role in agricultural water security. Enhancing these systems through sustainable interventions such as fencing, hardened access points, and revegetation can improve water quality and deliver carbon and biodiversity co‐benefits.

Reaction kinetics of the formation of intermetallic Fe – Zn during hot - dip galvanizing of steel
This review article mainly describes the composition of intermetallic Fe - Zn, i.e. zeta (ζ), delta (δ1k + δ1p), gamma1 (Γ1) and gamma (Γ) on galvanized steel during low temperature galvanization (t ~ 450 °C).

A double intercritical annealing strategy is proposed to tailor the multiphase microstructure and mechanical response of a medium‐Mn steel. The treatment produces an ultrafine mixture of ferrite, martensite and multiple austenite populations with graded thermal and mechanical stability, formed through austenite reversion and controlled retransformation.
