Applications of a Novel Wireless System for Real‐Time Atmospheric Corrosion Monitoring

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
Developed monitoring system is a powerful tool for real‐time atmospheric corrosion monitoring. Humidity plays a critical role in the corrosion process. Limiting environmental parameters inducing maximum corrosion vary depending on the pollutants present. A monitoring system can be used in a wide range of scientific and practical applications.

Corrosion Performance of Prepainted Galvanized Steel After 8‐Year Outdoor Exposure Upon the Distance to the Seashore in Temperate Environment

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
The corrosion performance of line‐produced prepainted galvanized steel products was investigated upon the distance to the seashore in temperate environment over 8‐year exposure. The rate of underpaint corrosion from cut‐edge was estimated and depended on the agressiveness of the site and the angle of exposure.

Influence of classified pore contents on the quasi-static and cyclic strength properties of the welded joint in gas-shielded metal arc welding of galvanized, high-strength steels

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Joining Processes, 2022
High-strength steel sheets are used in the automotive industry to save weight. In particularly, in the chassis area, high-strength steels are constantly replacing the previously used strength classes of 440–590 MPa.

Performance analysis of strengthening reinforced concrete beams under pure torsion using galvanized steel sheets: Experimental and numerical investigation

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract Reinforced concrete (RC) beams can be subjected to torsion, and failure due to torsion is brittle and poses a significant risk to occupants. Moreover, strengthening of existing RC beams in torsion may be required due to the upgrade of the structures or as part of structural rehabilitation.
