Galvanostatic deposition of ZnO thin films

Electrochimica Acta, 2012
Abstract In this study we report on the galvanostatic deposition of zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films from an aqueous chloride based solution. The influence of the deposition conditions (bath temperature, supporting electrolyte (KCl) concentration and current density) on the properties of ZnO 2D layers is studied.

Galvanostatic deposition and characterization of cuprous oxide thin films

Journal of Crystal Growth, 2000
Abstract Electrochemical deposition of cuprous oxide (Cu2O) thin films on tin-oxide-coated glass and copper substrates by cathodic reduction of alkaline cupric lactate solution has been investigated between 60 and 80°C. Deposition kinetics of cuprous oxide thin films were studied and the parameters limit for the deposition of the films were ...

Galvanostatic pulse deposition of hydroxyapatite for adhesion to titanium for biomedical purposes

Materials Science and Engineering: C, 2010
Abstract Calcium phosphate coatings, in particular synthetic hydroxyapatite, are applied to the surfaces of titanium and its alloys so as to improve the biocompatibility and biological performance. Currently, plasma spraying is the clinically accepted technique for the deposition of calcium phosphate onto titanium. Electrochemical cathodic deposition

Galvanostatic deposition of polypyrrole in the presence of tartaric acid for electrochemical supercapacitor

Electrochimica Acta, 2014
Abstract Galvanostatic deposition of tartrate–doped polypyrrole (PPy) is carried out on platinum foil in acetonitrile solution with tartaric acid, tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate and Triton-X 100 for supercapacitor studies. The effect of substrate is studied by comparing the results obtained by using platinum, stainless steel and pencil graphite

Formation of an Electrode Deposit under Galvanostatic Conditions

Russian Metallurgy (Metally), 2018
The laws of formation of a continuous deposit layer at a given direct current are considered. Equations are analyzed to calculate the time dependences of overpotential for instantaneous nucleation with kinetic or diffusion control of new-phase growth.

Galvanostatic deposition of thin films of cuprous oxide

Solar Energy Materials, 1987
Abstract Cuprous oxide films were electrodeposited galvanostatically on stainless steel substrates at 60 °C. Deposition parameters were studied in detail. The parameter limits for the deposition of uniform films were determined. Uniform films could be deposited up to a thickness of ∼ 5.5 μ m with a relatively high growth rate of ⋍ 6 μm/h at a ...

Versatile Ag dendrites: simple galvanostatic deposition and applications

New Journal of Chemistry, 2014
Large Ag dendrites were rapidly deposited via a facile electrochemical route at a deposition current of 20 mA for 10 min in air at room temperature, employing a mixed system of AgNO3 and NH3·H2O as the electrolyte. The phase and morphology of the as-prepared product were characterized by means of powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive ...

Galvanostatically deposited Fe: MnO2 electrodes for supercapacitor application

Journal of Physics and Chemistry of Solids, 2012
The present investigation describes the addition of iron (Fe) in order to improve the supercapacitive properties of MnO2 electrodes using galvanostatic mode. These amorphous worm like Fe: MnO2 electrodes are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy ...
