Succinylation of Gamma Globulin
Nature, 1966THE chemical modification of proteins with succinic anhydride was shown by Habeeb et al.1 to result in an unfolding of the compact conformations of several proteins in neutral aqueous buffer. This was attributed to the large increase in net negative charge produced by the replacement of the positively charged e-NH3+ groups of lysine residues by ...

Abstract The occurrence of classical antibodies in human saliva was estimated by measuring the salivary γ-globulin. The immunochemical (precipitin) technique was uninfluenced by the complex content of saliva. It was qualitatively specific, accurate with an average error of +2.2 per cent, and highly reproducible.

Gamma globulin is of value as a prophylactic or modifying agent in selected cases of measles, pertussis, infectious hepatitis (particularly in adults), congenital agammaglobulinemia, and rubella occurring during the first four months of pregnancy. Specific hyperimmune globulins have been found beneficial in mumps, smallpox, tetanus, eczema vaccinatum ...

Immunomodulating effect of human placenta-eluted gamma globulins in rheumatoid arthritis.
Arthritis & Rheumatism, 1982Patients who had active and severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA) were treated with human placenta-eluted gamma globulins (PEGG) composed of purified IgG eluted from trophoblastic cells.

New England Journal of Medicine, 1959(Continued)* Clinical Disturbances of Gamma-Globulin Metabolism Alterations in gamma-globulin metabolism associated with clinical disease may occur in a variety of ways, and the disease may or may not be a direct consequence of the alteration.

ANTIBODIES TO GAMMA-GLOBULIN IN INFANTS AND CHILDREN EXPOSED TO ISOLOGOUS GAMMA-GLOBULIN
Pediatrics, 1965Isoantibodies directed against human gamma-globulin were found in children receiving single and repeated injections of gamma-globulin and in those who had received blood transfusions at birth. Nine of 14 children receiving repeated gamma-globulin injections had anti-gamma-globulin antibodies.

STRUCTURAL TRANSITIONS IN ANTIBODY AND NORMAL GAMMA-GLOBULINS. 2. FLUORESCENCE POLARIZATION STUDIES
, 1962: The effects of acid, alkali, anionic and cationic detergents, urea and guanidine on the relaxation times of rabbit anti-thyro-globulin antibody and bovine gamma globulin have been evaluated by means of the polarization of fluorescence technique.
