Gamma-ray Astronomy with DAMPE
Based on 17 months of data from the DArk Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE), we are able to produce a GeV gamma-ray sky map showcasing the powerful e/$\gamma$ (e/p) discrimination and good angular resolution of DAMPE.

Discerning Performance Bottlenecks of State‐of‐the‐Art Narrow Bandgap Organic Solar Cells
This work quantitatively discerns the loss mechanisms of state‐of‐the‐art low‐bandgap organic solar cells based on BTPV‐4X‐eC9 acceptors. Compared to PM6:Y6, geminate recombination of charge transfer (CT) states governs photocurrent losses. This relates to conformational freedom of these acceptors that restricts their aggregation, and also counteracts ...

Recommendations for Planning Inclusive Astronomy Conferences [PDF]
The Inclusive Astronomy (IA) conference series aims to create a safe space where community members can listen to the experiences of marginalized individuals in astronomy, discuss actions being taken to address inequities, and give recommendations to the community for how to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion in astronomy. The first IA was held in

Data as a Research Infrastructure - CDS, the Virtual Observatory, Astronomy, and beyond [PDF]
The situation of data sharing in astronomy is positioned in the current general context of a political push towards, and rapid development of, scientific data sharing. Data is already one of the major infrastructures of astronomy, thanks to the data and service providers and to the International Virtual Observatory Alliance (IVOA).

Abstract Short‐lived, unobservable, and not subject to the usual rules of conservation of energy and momentum, virtual particles—an integral part of the conceptual framework of quantum field theory (QFT)—exhibit a number of curious characteristics which, in recent decades, have in part fueled important discussions about their ontological status ...

Birth and Early Development of Indian Astronomy [PDF]
This paper provides an overview of the birth and early development of Indian astronomy. Taking account of significant new findings from archaeology and literary analysis, it is shown that early mathematical astronomy arose in India in the second millennium BC.

Applications for New Scintillator Technologies in Gamma Ray Astronomy
Scintillators have long been used for probing the high energy universe. The reliability and low cost of scintillator-PMT detectors have made them the de facto standard for experiments on high altitude balloons and in orbiting satellites.

Low‐Frequency Raman Spectroscopy of Polymers
Recent advances have made low‐frequency Raman spectroscopy accessible to the wider scientific community. This review discusses how low‐frequency Raman is particularly useful for researchers investigating polymers because the technique can help determine both the local and long‐range structure of materials, their thermodynamic properties, and their ...
