Match Probability Statistics and Gamma Ray Burst Recurrences in the BATSE Catalog
We develop match probability statistics to test the recurrences of gamma ray bursts in the BATSE catalog 1B and 2B. We do not find a signal of repetitions at the match level of 1.e-3.Comment: 4 pages, LaTeX, two macros included (kluwer.sty, spacekap.sty)

This work endeavors to engineer uranium mononitride (UN) nanostructures within a metallic nuclear fuel (U─Mo), in order to trap potential fission products (Nd). From consolidation of the nanostructured U─Mo powders all the way to 1000 h at reactor‐like temperatures (500 °C), Nd preferentially migrates to nanostructure boundaries (hetero‐interfaces ...

Analysis of Gamma-Ray Burst Closure Relationship in Multiple Wavelengths
Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are intense pulses of high-energy emission associated with the death of massive stars or compact objects’ coalescence. Their multiwavelength observations help verify the reliability of the standard fireball model.

On the Gamma Ray Burst Origin of Extremely Energetic Cosmic Rays
Air shower experiments have detected cosmic ray events of energies upto 300 EeV. Most likely these cosmic rays have originated from compact objects. Their exact sources are yet to be identified.

This review focuses on the application of synthetic biodegradable microarray patches (MAPs) in sustained drug delivery. Compared to conventional MAPs which release drugs into the skin in an immediate manner, these implantable MAPs release drugs into skin microcirculation gradually as the biodegradable polymers degrade, thus offering sustained release ...

A Millimeter Rebrightening in GRB 210702A
We present X-ray to radio frequency observations of the bright long gamma-ray burst GRB 210702A. Our Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array 97.5 GHz observations show a significant rebrightening by a factor of ≈2 beginning at 8.2 days post-burst ...

Correlation between Peak Energy and Peak Luminosity in Short Gamma-Ray Bursts
A correlation between the peak luminosity and the peak energy has been found by Yonetoku et al. as $L_{p}\propto E_{p,i}^{2.0}$ for 11 pre-Swift long gamma-ray bursts. In this study, for a greatly expanded sample of 148 long gamma-ray bursts in the Swift

Short‐term intravenous treatments with iPSC‐derived mononuclear phagocytes (iMPs) improve cognitive decline and neural health in two mouse models of aging and in the 5xFAD mouse model of Alzheimer's disease. iMPs reduce levels of serum amyloid proteins that increase in aging and improve the health of hippocampal microglia and mossy cells.

Unveiling the Secrets of Gamma Ray Bursts
Gamma Ray Bursts (GRBs) are unpredictable and brief flashes of gamma rays that occur about once a day in random locations in the sky. Since gamma rays do not penetrate the Earth's atmosphere, they are detected by satellites, which automatically trigger ...
