Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Defect Analysis of the β– to γ–Ga2O3 Phase Transition

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The role of defects at all the relevant stages of the β$\beta$‐ to γ$\gamma$‐Ga2O3 polymorph transition is investigated using a multi method approach. The positron annihilation spectroscopy based results show that the defect density decreases after the transition, and that changes in defect configuration within the γ phase occur with increasing ...

Modulating Electrochemical CO2 Reduction Pathways via Interfacial Electric Field

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Engineering interfacial electric fields in Cu/ITO electrodes enables precise control of CO2 reduction pathways. Charge transfer from Cu to ITO generates positively charged Cu species that steer selectivity from ethylene toward methane. This work demonstrates how interfacial electric‐field modulation can direct reaction intermediates and transform ...

Characterization of ceramic seeds with samarium-153 for use in brachytherapy

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2011
Ceramic seeds were synthesized by the sol-gel technique with Si:Sm:Ca. One sample was irradiated in the TRIGA nuclear reactor IPR-R1. After irradiation, the seeds were submitted to instrumental neutron activation analysis to determine the 153Sm ...

Large Anomalous and Topological Hall Effect and Nernst Effect in a Dirac Kagome Magnet Fe3Ge

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fe3Ge, a Kagome‐lattice magnet, exhibits remarkable anomalous Hall and Nernst effects, with transverse thermoelectric conductivity surpassing or comaprable to some well‐known ferromagnets. First‐principles calculations attribute these to Berry curvature from massive Dirac gaps. Additionally, topological Hall and Nernst signals emerge from field‐induced

Fast‐Responding O2 Gas Sensor Based on Luminescent Europium Metal‐Organic Frameworks (MOF‐76)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Luminescent MOF‐76 materials based on Eu(III) and mixed Eu(III)/Y(III) show rapid and reversible changes in emission intensity in response to O2 with very short response times. The effect is based on triplet quenching of the linker ligands that act as photosensitizers. Average emission lifetimes of a few milliseconds turn out to be mostly unaffected by

In situ natural radioactivity and radiological hazard assessments of granite gneiss outcrops in parts of the Southwestern Basement Complex of Nigeria

open access: yesDoğal Afetler ve Çevre Dergisi, 2019
Radioactive emission (gamma ray) emanating from rock materials constitutes threats to humans and their environment. Hence, the natural radioactivity and radiological hazard indices of some granite gneiss outcrops with their residual soils from two ...
