The correction for the gamma‐ray component in neutron therapy [PDF]
Neutron beams for therapy always contain some γ ray contamination that varies with depth and with distance from the beam axis. The problem therefore arises how the varying γ ray contribution should be accounted for in dose specification. Not infrequently a “total effective dose” DE is quoted that is equal to the neutron dose plus the γ ray dose divided

Hybrid histogram correction with adaptive gamma and multi-scale retinex for enhanced image processing [PDF]
In the realm of Applied Artificial Intelligence, conventional image correction algorithms often face challenges when dealing with darker tonalities in images, leading to the loss of details, increased noise, and a lack of contrast and visual impact.

A Flexible Architecture for Precise Gamma Correction
We present a flexible hardware architecture for precise gamma correction via piece-wise linear polynomial approximations. Arbitrary gamma values, input bit widths, and output bit widths are supported. The gamma correction curve is segmented via a combination of uniform segments and segments whose sizes vary by powers of two.
