Performance of Interference‑Limited Multi‑RIS Auxiliary Communication Networks

open access: yesShuju Caiji Yu Chuli
To study the performance of multi‑reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) assisted communication network with the presence of the same frequency interference at the receiving end, this paper deploys multiple RIS of different geometric sizes as relays in

Transition Distribution Amplitudes for gamma* gamma collisions

open access: yes, 2007
We study the exclusive production of pi-pi and rho-pi in hard gamma* gamma scattering in the forward kinematical region where the virtuality of one photon provides us with a hard scale in the process. The newly introduced concept of Transition Distribution Amplitudes (TDA) is used to perform a QCD calculation of these reactions thanks to two simple ...

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Is Young's Modulus a Critical Coating Property Determining Fouling‐Release Performance of Marine Coatings?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The release of foulers from protective marine coatings is determined by several interrelated material properties, including the strength of Young's modulus, the flexibility of chain segments, the surface free energy, and the magnitude of hydrodynamic stress.

One Parameter Polynomial Exponential Distribution with Binomial Mixture

open access: yesRevstat Statistical Journal
A further generalized version of one parameter polynomial exponential distribution with binomial probability mass as a mixture called a Binomial Mixture One Parameter Polynomial Exponential Distribution (BMOPPE) is proposed in the article.

The Impact of High‐Productivity Processing on the Fatigue Failure of an Additive Manufactured Superalloy HAYNES 282

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The low cycle fatigue life of additive manufactured HAYNES® 282® superalloy was investigated for conventional and high‐productivity processing: samples of the former lasted 1400–1700 cycles, while samples of the latter failed at ~ 1200 cycles, at 760 °C and 1% strain.
