ANTIBODIES TO GAMMA-GLOBULIN IN INFANTS AND CHILDREN EXPOSED TO ISOLOGOUS GAMMA-GLOBULIN

Pediatrics, 1965
Isoantibodies directed against human gamma-globulin were found in children receiving single and repeated injections of gamma-globulin and in those who had received blood transfusions at birth. Nine of 14 children receiving repeated gamma-globulin injections had anti-gamma-globulin antibodies.

Modulation of mononuclear phagocyte function by intravenous gamma-globulin.

Journal of Immunology, 1984
To assess the effects on mononuclear phagocyte function of i.v. gamma-globulin treatment in idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, we examined in vivo and in vitro mononuclear phagocyte function in 11 patients before and after therapy.

Antibody to Hereditary Human Gamma-Globulin (Gm) Factor Resulting from Maternal-Fetal Incompatibility

Science, 1964
Multiple samples of serum from a Gm(a-) female mated to a Gm(a+) male were obtained before, during, and after each of four normal uncomplicated pregnancies and tested for antibody to human gamma globulins of differing genetic types.

Efficacy of plasma exchange therapy for Kawasaki disease intractable to intravenous gamma-globulin

Modern Rheumatology, 2004
Kawasaki disease (KD) causes coronary artery lesions (CALs) in 500 Japanese children each year. Intravenous gamma-globulin (IVGG) decreases the incidence of these lesions from 25% to 8% of the total KD cases. We examined whether plasma exchange is a safe
